Nice, thanks. I was skeptical at first and didn't try the betas, but now that I finally updated it's pretty damn cool.Yes. Liquid Glasses is coming to all platforms 9.15

Last charged my 16PM to 100% 24 hours ago and I’m sitting at 25% right now. Definitely can’t complain!Might be too soon to be sure, but after 1 day with the RC the battery life on my 15 Pro seems to be way better. By this time of night I was used to being in the red, but today I'm sitting at 49%.
I don’t have that redraw issue on my 16 pro max.So they haven’t fixed the icon redraws when scrolling quickly on the Home Screen then. 16 pro.
I wonder if the new phones have the same problems.
Because the amount of bugs people are reporting are still present makes me think that it’s not the version “everyone will get to download” - like it happened last year and a few other times. Why wait for next week? Doesn’t makes sense in my eyes, the RC is most likely the version everyone gets to download next Monday 🤣
9/10 on my 15 Pro. I'm super impressed with the progress Apple has made because I would have rated it 4/10 back on Beta 5 and earlier. It seems to be ready to go!I'm on comfy iOS 18.7 RC but liquid glass seems a bit enticing. On a scale from 1 - 10, how stable is the RC? 10 being the most stable.
What about heating and battery consumption during use? More than 18.6.1?9/10 on my 15 Pro. I'm super impressed with the progress Apple has made because I would have rated it 4/10 back on Beta 5 and earlier. It seems to be ready to go!
What's wrong? Does it slow down? Does it discharge much faster on 26?After testing iOS 26.0 RC on my iPhone 11 Pro Max for a few hours, I decided to go back to iOS 18.6.2 and just update to iOS 18.7 RC. I don't know about the newer iPhone models but I think Apple should not have released iOS 26.x for iPhone 11 series at all. It reminds me of iPhone 4s getting iOS 9.x when it should not have.
Turn off developer software updates it will go away.Is the feedback app still there for you guys?
iPhone X - 3GB RAM - last major version is iOS 16What's wrong? Does it slow down? Does it discharge much faster on 26?
I think you jumped to conclusions. Someone here has problems with drawing icons on the 16th iPhone. So these bugs do not depend on the amount of RAM. If the company decided that the iPhone 11 will be able to function adequately with the new iOS, then it should be so. I myself have the 11th, recently replaced the original battery due to a sharp degradation from 84% to 79% after updating to 18.6.1 (in a week the battery deteriorated too much, I had to keep the phone on charge everywhere).iPhone X - 3GB RAM - last major version is iOS 16
iPhone XS - 4GB RAM - last major version is iOS 18
iPhone 11 Pro - 4GB RAM - last major version is iOS 26
iOS 26 [sequentially should have been iOS 19] introduced Liquid Glass which although is as nice to look at like in Windows Vista and Windows 7 however the performance will not be as good as iPhone models with at least 6GB RAM. There will be more icon refreshes and I initially observed it when accessing the App Library even though I don't really use it, just swiping test to gauge performance. With iOS 18 even though it performed slower than iOS 17 and older, the performance is still somewhat acceptable.
For those who are still using the iPhone 11 series, instead of upgrading to iOS 26, upgrade your iPhone to a newer model if you have the money, otherwise, stay on iOS 18. I can foresee that it will be another iOS 9 on iPhone 4s moment, a demanding software for an under-powered hardware.
Apple should have never allowed the iPhone 11 series to upgrade to iOS 26 [iOS 19] in the first place.
iOS 18 - A14 Bionic and newer
iPadOS 18 - A12 Bionic and newer
If it comes down to it, then for the 11th the best in terms of performance and energy consumption during operation was iOS 16.7.2.Back when WWDC 2024 has not yet happened, I mentioned this:
After experiencing iOS 26.0 RC on iPhone 11 Pro Max 4GB RAM and 512GB storage and 400+ GB free space, I really believe that iOS 18 should have been the last major version for iPhone 11 series.

I am happy with my iPhone, except for the battery that has degraded dramatically, which had to be replaced, now the charge holds up well. The only thing that upsets me is that in new versions of iOS (take the same 18.6.2) - old phones heat up and drain the battery more. Apparently this was done on purpose so that people would buy new models. It runs well on my base iPhone 11. Battery is down to 76%, but that's pretty good for a 6 year old phone.
Just a personal thought, but I believe one of the reasons iOS 26 runs so well on older phones like mine is because it doesn't support Apple Intelligence.
I'll still be upgrading to a new phone in a week or two though, as 6 years is enough!

It’s not nearly as bad as some make it out to be, though I do acknowledge that some users are experiencing issues that I am not.I usually jump in when the RC is released but I am not sure this time as there seems to be quite a few unresolved bug reports. However, I know that no software/firmware is ever 100% bug free. Its just that to me, there seems to be quite a few that really should have been squashed at this time.
