Is there anyone with a replaced non-original battery and updated iOS 26? Was there a problem with displaying a charge of 1% and not receiving a charge from any charger?
Why does the 2025 BMW look different than the previous model? Why are the icons noticeably larger on iOS 26 compared to iOS 18.6.2, same for iPad as well ?
After just updating, or even hours later? My iPhone is constantly very warm and draining battery. After that I’ve got the adaptive battery notification but it was in English instead of German again.
I have the wallet icon present in the Wallet & Apple Pay menu and under Wallet in privacy but when I go into the location services menu it is missing so I would guess that location permissions menu uses a different icon size that wasn’t included or something but it’s been many years since I last had to deal with development on iOS.Wallet icon present when it wasn’t for others. Why would I be speculating?

Dumb Q: Does anyone know what the leftmost two options are when choosing tinted icons? I’d not seen them before this RC (but maybe they’re just on the stock wallpapers), and one is unclickable and the other doesn’t do anything…
already answered in thread sorry![]()
It matches the tint of the icons to the color of Apple's case on your iPhoneSo what does it do. I can't seem to find the answer.
I presume the option with the top left square to match the icons to the back of your phone, I'm getting white on mine and I have a white iPhone. I don't know what the icon depicting the front does however, it's also disabled on my phone.
How does the ram management feel? Is it better than iOS 18? When I updated my 14pro from 16.7.2 to 18.6 at the beginning of August it felt like I shaved 2-3GB off my phone in the process. Apps just don’t hang in memory anymore like the used to on iOS 16. I sure miss that. Hoping iOS 26 helps but don’t have much hope! It’s not nearly as bad as some make it out to be, though I do acknowledge that some users are experiencing issues that I am not.
iOS 26 has been running very well on my 14PM since around beta 5/6, with battery performance having been pretty stable since then. I’ve had only a single crash issue since beta 4, and that was one app crashing when trying to login with Face ID on beta 9. It was only my telco app so not critical, and passcode entry was fine. Resolved now with the RC or possibly an update to the app as I don’t use it often.
There are some visual bugs, sure, but nothing that to me at least is more than a tiny annoyance. Probably the only thing that genuinely bugs me is the blocking of text boxes in Safari by the compact URL and tick box bar sitting above the keyboard (happening right now).
It’s only for the 17-series I think.Wasn't there a PWM related feature in the RC ? I thought so.
Hmm, this does work for me. I put in an address, found a route, pressed go and turned off my phone’s display and stuck the phone in the cup holder. It was updating the map via CarPlay. 21 Accord, wireless CarPlay, 16 pro max.Maps has been broken since beta 9, and isn’t fixed. If you start navigation and then turn the display off (like I do in my car) navigation pauses, and doesn’t update through my stereo until I turn the screen back on.
I just submitted feedback about it, but since it made its way to the RC I’m not optimistic about this getting fixed.
It was constantly warm today until I’ve got the adaptive message. Now it’s pretty cool. After just updating, or even hours later?
Cause mine was very hot yesterday after updating from iOS 18 to iOS 26. But now it's totally fine
It's their play. They want to slow down to older devices with the "redesign" to get people to upgrade. People want to deny it, but it's true.iPhone X - 3GB RAM - last major version is iOS 16
iPhone XS - 4GB RAM - last major version is iOS 18
iPhone 11 Pro - 4GB RAM - last major version is iOS 26
iOS 26 [sequentially should have been iOS 19] introduced Liquid Glass which although is as nice to look at like in Windows Vista and Windows 7 however the performance will not be as good as iPhone models with at least 6GB RAM. There will be more icon refreshes and I initially observed it when accessing the App Library even though I don't really use it, just swiping test to gauge performance. With iOS 18 even though it performed slower than iOS 17 and older, the performance is still somewhat acceptable.
For those who are still using the iPhone 11 series, instead of upgrading to iOS 26, upgrade your iPhone to a newer model if you have the money, otherwise, stay on iOS 18. I can foresee that it will be another iOS 9 on iPhone 4s moment, a demanding software for an under-powered hardware.
Apple should have never allowed the iPhone 11 series to upgrade to iOS 26 [iOS 19] in the first place.
anyone? Can’t remove Safari bookmark shortcuts, any ideas please?

I feel like it’s slightly better than iOS 18. I use a third party Reddit app that’s only available via Test Flight, and it was notorious for refreshing under iOS 18. It still doesn’t last long in memory under 26, but it does last noticeably longer. I also find Safari tabs better under 26, though not all sites. Funnily enough, these forums hold up better under 26 in Safari but other sites seem to refresh about the same as they did under 18.How does the ram management feel? Is it better than iOS 18?
