IF you're not seeing the Beta update available, turn off Beta Updates and then turn it back on. It should show up then.
Something’s not right there. Was super quick for me. About 8.2GB on 16PM

I think you are right. Might be my connection. I dropped off WiFi to cellular and it jumped to 15 minutes.
It's worked in the past - it's functionally the same as a fresh install on a Mac, often with no backup, but i find that a less destructive way to do it is just to install over the beta and run a reset network settings/reset all settings if issues arise
(Disclaimer: I've posted this before.) The IPSW method with Finder/iTunes downloads and installs the full firmware image, effectively replacing core system files, whereas OTA applies incremental patches to update only the necessary components of the existing system. Both methods result in the updated operating system, but the pathway and scope of changed files differ. With IPSW installation, it can be thought of as a more complete, “fresh” installation, reducing the chance that device-level corruption or fragmentation of system files persists after the update.
