Yeah for sure. But I have at least some hope that they will be able to improve it further and make it less demanding.
Beta 2 of 26 is the one I look forward to the most , I expect quite a few visual changes and improvements over beta 1 from feedback from people .

its honestly smoother than mostI don’t think I’ve ever done a beta 1 before so I can’t comment how it compares, it’s definitely not a smooth ride but I knew what I was signing up for and look forward to the gradual improvements. Hopefully today brings some of them

Yeah, I agree. I mean, the new UI is a bit glitchy, battery is obvs bad and I have had a few resprings. But I have no problems with the apps I am using, and, generally, everything is usable, just not polished.
I think Beta 2 is still to early to incorporate feedback from users, usually what we see released has been finished internally few days / weeks back. I think beta 3/4 is when it's more realistic to start seeing some of the people's feedback being incorporated. Nevertheless, I am pretty sure they're aware of the issues with the new design so most probably we will see some fixes in beta 2.

- Multiple sources (like Redmond Pie and Geeky Gadgets) expect Beta 2 to arrive today — usually around 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 7 PM CEST.

Yeah, hopefully they drop the beta today, I think it’s pretty likely. I’m planning on installing the next iPadOS 26 beta when it drops. I plan on staying on the developer beta cycle throughout the iPadOS 26 cycle, unless I run into some really severe bugs or something. But with how stable it’s been for me so far, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. 👍🏻
If it’s not this week, it seems unlikely it would be next week, either, since it’s the 4th of July holiday in the US.
