Maybe I’m thinking of this wrong, but wouldn’t the 9th be the first public non-beta release for iOS 26? Since the 9th is the iPhone 17 announcement. I think RC beta would be the 2nd, and then the first public release would be the 9th. But again, maybe I’m not thinking of it right. 🤷🏼‍♂️

No, it’s always one week or almost one week after the event that iOS gets public worldwide - so expect iOS 26 official release on Monday / Tuesday the week after the event
