iPad mini 6 feels sluggish. It is what is, with 4GB of Ram.
Same here, which is strange considering my 13 Mini (same chip, same RAM) feels fine, faster than before even. Just ugly.
Absolutely, 100%, totally unacceptable.
What is that there ... like THREE layers of overlapping semi translucent content?
I have no clue how Apple are going to solve stuff like this if they are going to insist on "glass".
There is a very good reason why signage in the real world isn't translucent.

Or, Apple prioritized development resources in a way you don’t agree with. The weird thing is that Apple knew this - it was posted about and Feedback'd all throughout the beta process (first beta was released on 9th June!) and yet didn't fix it.
They're neither short staffed nor short of cash, so it must be disinterest. Shame.
It's not the change that the majority of people have issues with. It's the gross inconsistencies, and bugs everywhere that people are complaining about. Bugs and inconsistencies I will add that have existed through the entire beta cycles. People will not accept a "get used to it" or "get over it" response from a trillion-dollar company with next to unlimited access to talent and resources. What we're getting is an insulting level of sloppiness from a company that once prided itself on beauty, consistency, and user experience. There will always be a large crowd of people who hate change. They're the type that it could be the same forever and they would be fine. The complaining will die down once people get used to it. Change always elicits a big response. People will get over it soon, like it never happened.

I dont like it at all, whether it's iOS 26 or more severely, MacOS 26. I hope they make a lot of changes to make it less...terrible. Safari used to look so clean and minimalist and now it looks kinda terrible to me.
My Mac is basically my most used Apple Device other than my AirPods Pro 2. We need to redesigns for sure. And performance improvements on iOS 26 since it seems a bit slow even on my 14 Pro
Surprising, as it feel as if 163,999 of them have gone on vacation, and a single lone employee is responsible for bug fixes. If its any consolation, many of the 164,000 employees at apple are trying to grapple with this OS too
All I was saying is that Apple didn’t ask us here on MR how development resources should be assigned to tasks and in what priority.Right. Apple and their priorities, mission critical stuff like ChatGPT integration in Image Playgrounds or taking functionality out of Files and shoving it into Preview. You're right, that is a way better use of development resources!
Apple DOES NOT CARE! They know people will buy their phones no matter how small the updates are, they know people will complain but still update their iOS. They became super powerful and built an ecosystem around their products and services that makes it very difficult for anyone on it to change. The real problem is that LiquidGlass is inconsistent as such. It’s like creating math where 1+1=3. What they were doing from the first beta was making it LESS LiquidGlassy to improve usability. You can like it visually, but it’s broken by design from usability perspective. From now on, with every update, it will be compromise between consistency and usability. Unsolvable equation.
I had no idea. Will retrain my brain I guess. Thanks! You don't have to even do that. Just swipe up on the address bar.

The dogs get used to it. But I wouldn't call them happy.Next, the experimenters raised the partition to close up the chambers. This time, the dogs could not flee after receiving electric shocks. They made frantic attempts to find a way out whenever a shock came through, but they couldn’t.
Finally, they lay down, whimpering every time they felt a shock, without even trying to get up.
Used iPhones since 3GS. iOS 26 is running quite smoothly on my 13PM.Been using iPhones since the iPhone 4 and for the first time I think Apple managed a major update fairly well.
Major releases are always well opinionated with comments on all sides of the spectrum. Interesting the progression from skeuomorphic to flat to some type of 3D. Next stop 4D?
I haven’t had the issues reported here and am surprised that so many minor things and dislikes seem like showstoppers. Lots of imo, throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Tell me; would you like it if every few years car manufacturers moved all the controls around to create something fresh and new?
Have you been in a car from this decade? Touch screens are a blight on the car world. Luckily some brands are putting controls back where they belong.
Imagine that. A company listening to their clientele. Couldn't be Infallible Apple.
