  4. Camera improvements and faster launch
  5. Call recording transcription expansion

  9. Markdown support in Notes
  10. Massive expansion of language and keyboard support

My iPhone has been stuck on indexing in progress for about three hours, is this normal? With iOS 26 beta indexing went fairly quickly and was able to get access to Apple intelligence features. I've tried force rebooting my phone, it's been connected to my Mac for the three hours straight and on wifi. I have an iPhone 15 Pro and upgraded from iOS 26.5.

Ditto on both 15PM & 16P. About 5 or 6 hours.

Since updating to iOS27 beta I have a message badge that will not go away. I have no unread messages. I’ve turned badges off, did a restart, and turned it back on…no luck.

Also asked Siri to read all unread messages. Also no luck. Any tips?
I’m having the same issue

For those experiencing the issue where the Messages app badge shows an inaccurate number of “unread” messages… are you using Messages in iCloud?

EDIT: according to Reddit, disabling “Screen Unknown Senders” and “Text Message Filter” fixes the bug.
Tried this and it didn’t work unfortunately. For now just going to turn badge notification off.

I feel like it may have something to do with Messages in iCloud. Saw someone on Reddit mention that going into their iCloud Messages settings and keeping a sync fixed it for them.

I don’t use Messages in iCloud and just installed iOS 27 and don’t have the unread messages bug…

Public beta will have it too. But when it eventually hits GM, it will still be tagged as a beta for the foreseeable future. Kind of how Private Relay was labeled a beta for a long while. They also said this year rather than this fall, so it might get pulled from the final 27.0 if it isn't up to expectations by September and come back in 27.1 or 27.2.
its way too good.
Its honesty scary.
