I have a 15 Pro and updated to iOS 27 DB 1 and also did a force restart and it works fine so I'm not sure if certain models are affected by this or not. Just wanted to share.
Likewise. 15PM. Zero issues.

Indexing and the Siri AI waitlist are separate and not dependent on each other.Index still in progress: Anyone else? Thought it would be finished overnight but no. Only concern is if it needs to be triggered as complete before your device is eligible to come off the AI waitlist. That would suck.
So far very stable and battery life is good on 17 Pro.
May have already been mentioned in this thread, but are the outer edges of app icons looking low quality / jagged for anyone else? Kind of like if you turned off edge smoothing in a game for instance?
It's noticeable mostly with the clear / tinted icons. They have this dark jagged outline around the icon glyphs. I get that they want to make them easier to see but this doesn't look quite right to me. I have reported to Apple regardless.
It looks like I'm using a high-contrast theme even though I'm not.

Screenshot: worst-case scenario, light clear icons on a white background (just for demonstration), but noticeable in regular use as well. Screenshot smoothens out the edges somewhat - in reality they look more jagged than this.
It'll happen eventually. Probably today, but soon.I’m 12 hours in and my indexing is still going strong. No sight of New Siri. Is it just a lost cause at this point for this beta? Has anyone who didn’t install the beta right away gotten any movement on Siri?
yes, i know. it should also be locked for best performance. my phone has been on a mixture of charging methods since yesterday, from wired most of the day to MagSafe overnightUsually if the iPhone is not charging until the process ends, the indexing is not completed.
... which might be difficult if the device is bricked.I work at an Apple store and we usually just let the customer know that we aren't able to work with beta firmware and that the device would need to be restored to a stable release.
Thought they gave you guys the ability to recover a bricked device (no matter the OS) in-store… 🤔I work at an Apple store and we usually just let the customer know that we aren't able to work with beta firmware and that the device would need to be restored to a stable release.
When using the Starbucks app to do Apple Pay it either gets stuck or after restarting the phone it just fails. Oddly it did work when sending Apple Cash via iMessage this morning

I don’t think so. Apple Intelligence and Siri is now just Siri. I thought, at first, then turning off Siri would turn off Apple Intelligence but it still seems active in apps like Mail with summaries. Is there anyway to turn AI features off like there was in iOS 26?
No, works fine for me.Have they axed reachability? I can’t get it to activate by swiping down on the dock/bar at the bottom of the screen anymore.
Why would Apple open up the Beta program to everyone if they aren’t going to support it in stores?I work at an Apple store and we usually just let the customer know that we aren't able to work with beta firmware and that the device would need to be restored to a stable release.
Because diagnosing a possible hardware/software issue would be a nightmare because you don’t know whether it’s a hardware issue, buggy software or just a buggy beta. Why would Apple open up the Beta program to everyone if they aren’t going to support it in stores?
Ditto 15PMLikewise. 15PM. Zero issues.
Nah, 15 Pro Max 512GB, EU launch version!I have a 15 Pro and updated to iOS 27 DB 1 and also did a force restart and it works fine so I'm not sure if certain models are affected by this or not. Just wanted to share.
Edit: @AppleTester what model do you have, is it a middle eastern device?
It very well could be that a device is not moved off the waitlist until the system is indexed due to the depth that the AI harvests data from the device.Indexing and the Siri AI waitlist are separate and not dependent on each other.
