Why is nobody talking about the new Siri? From what was announced, what is it capable of doing in this beta?
Actually… after hours after installing, the indexing box appeared. So one more night waiting…
it took 30h to go off the waiting list.
So the new Siri is on my phone (indexing still on - up to a week it says)

You don't add gemini to Siri. Siri AI uses Apple Foundation Models trained on gemini models. The ChatGPT fallback is still available but there is no other AI fallback or other models that can be used instead of Siri AI currently.

how do you get to this screen? ive got 27 installed on my M4 iPad and the new siri is activated, but can't see any place to adjust the voice

They definitely messed this up. Doesn’t activate as consistently anymore. Double tapping the home indicator brings up Siri now so I end up activating that instead lol. Needs a fix.
Anyone having issues enabling wifi calling? On t-mobile and wifi calling is disabled when I go to enable I got the location confirmation but wifi calling stays disabled

I asked it if I ever paid back my cousin for some museum tickets. It found the message from them telling me the damage, and it found the Zelle confirmation text showing I paid them.
After a few restarts it’s closer to prior releases, but definitely not as consistent.
Interesting you mention the home indicator still brings up Siri for you - I have the new Siri AI enabled and it does NOT do that for me anymore, unlike in 26 where it brought up Apple Intelligence.
I wouldn't be surprised if indexing takes days. I put Golden Gate on my M3 Pro MBP and I left it idle and it was actually running decently warm for hours and hours.
I was having a look at activity monitor and it was a whole bunch of indexing, media analysis and spotlight related programs all maxing out their own CPU core. That kind of work is going to take even longer on phones.

Does anyone else’s Siri 2.0 voice settings not work? It stuck me with voice 3 and the “customized “ part is greyed out when I open it.

Going on 27 hours now. Still indexing, still no new siri.
If I turn siri off, and then on again- would it help? Or put me at the back of the line ?
