iOS 27 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Honestly never looked at this screen while connected to CarPlay... Is this new? Listing the CarPlay label in the Wifi field?

Still indexing. Still waiting.

Besides that, the biggest pita has been WiFi. Depending how far I am from the router/modem, my Air will swap between 5 and 6 with a few second pause as it swaps. Haven’t had that before.

Next biggest pita is app manager - far too aggressive.

Lastly, I am getting multiple times per day where my Air will require me putting my passcode to enable FaceID. We are talking 3+ times per day. Nothing in Analytics that matches up with this.

Other than that, it’s a beta 1.

Weird thing... It was working before I got to work. out of frustration, I connect my watch to the public wifi in the building (the kind behind the captcha "authentication") even though my phone wasn't connected to it... Damn thing cleaned itself up almost immediately...

I'll look at it again tomorrow morning..

Siri AI unlocked for me in the last 2 hours.
I joined the waitlist about 4 hours after the Keynote ended.

Still showing as Indexing in Progress. Odd given I have a iPhone 17 Pro that I leave plugged in for most of the day at the moment.

BUG: If you take a screen shot and immediately crop using the post screen shot UX, it won't save the crop, just the whole screen shot photo. Caught me out the first time.

Yeh same here bro and welcome to new Siri I just got it also and still indexing
 
I’m extremely impressed how stable this build is on my iPad. Still indexing and waiting for Siri ai, but feels really smooth.

I just came into this thread literally looking for someone who as having WiFi issues! I also have an Air and seems like either the Air is jumping mesh nodes while disconnecting for a few seconds, or having issues just staying connected to one node, and I’m literally sitting next to the main router so distance isn’t an issue.

Sad thing is I was just tying between 2 mesh networks and returning one since it was giving me the most trouble, now realizing it may have been this new OS as I was testing speeds throughout the house on my Air. Hopefully they fix WiFi on beta 2, will be reporting this as well.

Workaround: if you go to Share screen and copy or text to yourself (someone else) it’s displayed correctly.

I’m having Wi-Fi problems as well. Random disconnections

I have been using my Sammy devices to confirm speed and connectivity. Definitely the OS.
 
Running into a new one on my iPad Pro 11 - using a MKB.
Safari will literally blow up the display (see below - yes, it is this site). A refresh of the display will fix it. Not every page, just randomly so far. 3x this afternoon for here, Amazon, and Google search

I just update and now almost all my texts are gone. iMessage, RCS and SMS, the date time and who sent them line is there but the words are gone. Anyone else?
 
Finally new Siri, with a cool pulsating orb. Btw I had to reboot my phone with CarPlay as the new Siri wouldn’t work until doing so….

Works decent and understands simple commands so far better than old Siri…I still need to test it further.

Well, certainly not “scientific” It seems this beta does consume more battery then iOS26 on my 17 Pro, Just looked at the statistics I keep a fairly regular schedule for my phone usage, but i’m 10% lower then usual. Still not bad for a Beta 1, have noticed Wi-Fi drop out a few times, but only for a second, so that’s another bug. Along with a few graphical UI glitches I reported, Such as in the photos app, when playing a video, the status bar/slider strobes. Have less than 100 cycles on my battery so pretty much brand new, Oddly enough seemed equal at first to iOS 26 battery life wise but after indexing was done, started noticing slight decrease in battery life with same usage, Would’ve thought been the opposite 🤔
