I’m just not sure I agree. Before, you used to be able to see through the dock and the NowPlaying widgets to see the details of the wallpaper in the background, similar to LG on iPhone apps. Now, only some of the color comes through.

This is especially noticeable when using Maps and looking at the new dock; the greenery or blue colors for water barely come through at all, and there are no refractions around the edges.

Different strokes for different folks though! Just wish CarPlay would respect the new LG slider.
I do wish it were a little more liquidy on the main screen here, but being readable at a glance is most important when you’re driving, so I’m fine with it looking more frosted when maps is full screen.

This could of been just a bad install or coincidence but I had iOS 26.6 beta and I have a third party screen I fitted myself on my 17 pro (I know like 6 months old for me and I dropped it) I kept getting a screen glitch so as a last attempt before taking it apart I installed iOS 27 beta and it’s not glitched once . The parts and service section might need a update before release lol

Normal one. After I install any update, I log into my phone, let it startup and go through all the new tips etc, then I restart it. I think an Apple genius told me to do that at one point and it just became a habit.
Thats the issue, mine was also good with a normal restart, but bricked after a force restart. So dont try to force restart it, unless you have a proper backup first!

Technically speaking, a force restart is never a good idea. It's the equivalent of keeping the power button pressed for 5 seconds on a Mac (or PC) to just power it off without shutting it down properly. That always comes with a little risk of file system corruption.

I don't know why this rumor has been around so insistingly for such a long time, but as far as I can tell, a force restart never solves any issue that a regular restart wouldn't solve.

Its ok. The data i need is all on the iCloud.

I might end up setting it as new device if needed.
I see others are still 'indexing' on clean install. I'd just wait it out.. it'll either complete or beta 2 will resolve it (if it's a glitch)

Mine is also indexing, but it's just a notification as far as I'll take it.. my Siri access finally dropped yesterday, and the phone is absolutely solid. I just can't get over the fact that a 'Beta 1' is lightyears ahead of the currrent stable release!

Hahaha. I went for it. No Indexing so far.

Currently only iMessage left to sync.

You are absolutely bob on. Years ago, an Apple employee told me that a force restart clears the system cache, so I got into the habit of force restarting my Phone after every major update. It never caused any issues before iOS 27.
A force restart is really intended for situations where the iPhone is unresponsive and can’t be turned off and on normally. I’ve been doing it out of habit all these years. Live and learn, I guess!

Wasn’t there something mentioned about an improvement in notification syncing across devices?

My AWU is out of sync with my iPhone, or at least terribly behind
I saw where Message syncing is improved, but I didn’t see anything about Notifications syncing better.
But I could have missed it.
