For those having intermittent WiFi issues, which devices are having the issues? I've noticed the issue on my iPhone Air, but not much on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I'm curious if the issue is more prevelant on the Air due to Apple's C1X modem.
Air.
Some things also on my iPad Pro 11 but not like the iPhone Air.

Why are people so surprised that indexing takes a week or longer? This is not the classic indexing you know, it‘s probably preparing the semantic index used by the LLM models for semantic searching via vector embeddings.

Creating embeddings is not as straight forward and takes more hardware resources / longer.

I’m very surprised. My Apple footprint is small and other than a periodic backup, I don’t use the iCloud for much. I expected a couple of days, maybe a day or two more. It’s been indexing since drop with nightly charging connect (8-10 hours).
iPhone Air and iPad Pro 11 M4.

You bring up a good point though. I wonder what “indexing” really entails. 🧐

Are you streaming anything at night while it charges? I was stuck at 95% for a few days but I have it on my night stand playing podcasts through YouTube every night. I thought that may be the issue so I force closed every app and rebooted. Put it on my Belkin MagSafe charger over night and it was done by morning. I used my iPad to stream YouTube over night instead. So the phone was completely dormant for about 12 hours doing its thing. Not sure if that was the solution for me or just coincidence though.

My Safari has been getting hung up a lot and not loading a page until I force close the app and try a second time. Especially true for Macrumors.

I know it’s beta 1, but this has been such a problem on stable iOS for as long as I can remember. I hope they truly figure it out before RC.

You all lie!
I installed iOS 27 on my iPhone 16 pro max and it’s so bad !
It’s stuttering all the time , apps crash it’s just awful !
And the best part is my usb c port on my phone is broken so I can’t downgrade so just bought a iPhone SE (2022) on iOS 17.2.1 to save me from insanity
Running a literal dev beta 1 with a broken USB-C port is insane

My basic "New Siri" testing.

While connected to CarPlay (been rock solid on my aftermarket Android stereo), I had Google Maps open. Asked her to take me to Dunk'n and she plotted the route in Google Maps instead of opening Apple Maps. Hope that continues, but didn't test more than the one time.

Asked her for an address to a friends house. She found two addresses. Asked her to remove one address based on the city name alone and she performed the update to the contact.

Asked her to text the girlfriend. When she was ready to send, asked to add a smiley emoji to the text and she did that fine.

My old go-to for how bad she was, asked her what would 15 min's before sunset be. She gave me the time for sunset and then the 15 min's prior. 😀

Asked her to find my drivers license number from "a pic in my photo album" and she found it in seconds. Asked her to do the same for the GF and she found it quickly as well.

One fail was asking her when a specific contacts sister passed away in text messages and she couldn't find it. Might not be indexed yet.

For the record, I did search before posting this and didn't see anything, so anyway...

Has anyone else had text messages disappear/delete when tapping them to view? I've been getting a bunch of Claude updates and each time one comes in when I tap it from the home screen it opens a blank message. Switch to the message list and it's not there either. It does show on my 14 Pro on 26.5, however.
I have this and reported it. Some background. These seem to be SMS messages. When then show in my messages list. I can see the preview. When I click to view, the message is blank. When I go back to my messages (I have checked alll of them), the message disappears". If I close out messages and reopen it, the message shows, but if I try to open it, it is still blank.

From what I understand, Apple Intelligence is now built directly into Siri, so for as long as Siri is enabled on your devices, AI will be there too. This means we can no longer turn AI off, unless we disable Siri altogether.

The EU and China versions, where the New Siri is not yet available, are probably only missing the separate Siri chatbot app and a new funky Dynamic Island integration. I suppose the backend is exactly the same, though, as I can see it interacts much better with my EU-based devices.

Is this about right?
Unfortunately it seems that regardless of Siri being enabled or disabled Apple Intelligence stuff is on no matter what 🙄

Try purging History and Website Data in Safari settings?

He may be joking around? It's a tell when the post opens "You all lie!" .. it's rock-solid for everyone I know who runs it
I still haven't been able to get my MAC to show the indexing status.
I've been at 95% for about three days, so I'm not sure how useful it is to even know. Indexing is hung for many of us; hopefully addressed in beta 2 next week

Yeah, I'm not even stressing it. I knew in the beginning it was going to take me a while. I just don't like when things "don't work". 😀

Now I'm going down a rabbit hole with all the errors I see in the logs. 😀 😀

The Air goes on DND and is hooked to an Anker Nano.
The iPad goes on DND and is hooked to a UGreen power bank. That one could be anything as I use it mostly for video and posting.

In Battery, it should very little background anything. A minute or two here and there.

I don’t clear App Manager either. I’ll try that tonight.
