On beta 1 and now on beta 2. Siri when something is typed into it and waiting for a reply is has a stutter/lag before the circle/dots appear. When the response is done and you are reading it on my phone (iPhone air) the scrolling is still very jittery and lagging. Typing was good initially after the update to beta 2 where it would space quick but since has gone back to slow as it was in beta 1.

I performed this update on my 13 mini and the annoying “Indexing in Progress” message in Settings went away. Everything seems to be operating smoother on my 13 mini since installing this update. No issues identified so far👍🏽

My ultrahuman ring air disappeared since beta 1 and is still not being detected on my iphone air. Looks like something’s changed in bluetooth modules.

16 PM and updated to Beta 2…I thought B1 was good, wow this feels like a public build and final release. Smooth…fluid and battery life is definitely better so far. It’s early on but I will give it a few days before updating my thoughts on this beta.

And yes, the indexing is gone. It was two weeks it stated “still indexing”. This update fixed.

I will check on CarPlay tomorrow…B1 was rock solid on CarPlay

Not sure if it was mentioned but CarPlay disconnects have been fixed. I got an email from Apple
saying it is. I haven't had a chance to go driving today since I wfh. If anyone has tested, let us know.

Corrected
If this is true, I’ll update first thing tomorrow. lol.

For those saying indexing is fixed, did you plug it into a Mac and check the percent complete? I’m curious if apple just took the message away so people wouldn’t complain about it anymore.

If my iPad is still indexing when I update it tomorrow I’ll check myself. But it’s been indexing for over a week so it may finish before I take the plunge into b2.

CarPlay disconnects and the screen capture crop not saving were the only issues I encountered and they both seem to be fixed and working well as others have pointed out.
My indexing seemed to have finished prior to installing B2 which I only noticed just before I updated so unsure when that actually completed.
Quite happy so far.

Huh, does this ever happen? Say it ain't so!!! 😛😛😀
The battery chemistry is completely unaffected by software, but two things can happen:
1) running unoptimized beta software can cook your battery if the device frequently overheats during the beta cycle, causing degradation
2) the battery is recalibrated after every update (beta or not), so it may be reporting a new percentage because it has fixed inaccurate reporting from before the update
