Just for info, not as scaremongering.

Had a white screen of death on my 16PM following the restart after update and entering passcode. Taken 30mins to revive.

Did this new auto restore procedure I’ve never seen before.

CoreAI / Neural Engine → Loading of large models has been accelerated, CPU/GPU scheduling has been made more efficient.

Memory Management → Accurate memory allocation to application processes reduced CPU overhead.

Background Processes → Neural Engine access has been restricted, preventing unnecessary CPU overhead.

GPU–CPU Coordination → CPU blocking issues during GPU inference have been resolved.

Metal 4.1 API → Graphics processing validation and debugging improved, CPU-GPU collaboration smoother.

SwiftUI Framework → Unnecessary re-evaluations were removed with the @State macro, reducing CPU load.

SwiftData → Deadlock and synchronization issues have been resolved, CPU threads run more smoothly.

Dictation (Speech-to-Text) → Faster and more accurate with the new on-device model, CPU load optimized.

On the developer page, these titles stand out seriously when it comes to performance. I'm using an Iphone 12 and it has a serious performance improvement. Friends experiencing issues with their phones should upgrade to iOS 27 via their computers.

Another feature I like about iOS 27 is that when we take a backup and restore, the layout on the home screen remains the same. The thing I had previously noticed was excessive CPU usage in beta 1; I assumed this was a systemic issue, and now CPU usage is quite stable.

This is why you shouldn’t (force) restart so soon after an update.

It’s in the same place the previous indexing message was. On the main settings page.
Strange.. my iP Air wasn't finished with indexing on beta 1. Installing OS updates has always introduced updating the index

The very moment my beta 2 install completed, there has never been an indication of progress

(shrug) -- the beta 2 update is fly, everything is quick and quite nice. This beta cycle is likely the most reliable I've ever seen for the iPhone! Good work on Apple's part

for me, it's just watching and hoping for Siri improvements at this point! I get a lot of 'Uh oh, there's a problem. Please try again.' responses - alas, I believe my work wi-fi is blocking the ports Siri is trying to use

no issues so far on my 16 pro, can now add medications in the health app (before it gave you a infinite loading screen)

Framerate also feels a lot better, was slightly choppy in b1 now it’s completely smooth so far.

Keyboard so far seems reliable in terms of actually showing up. Loading emojis also seems instant whereas before it took a second or two to open.

So far so good.
