Need to download the Xcode beta, unzip, open contents, go to /Contents/Resources/Packages/ and if im not wrong, install MobileDevice.pkg
I'm the same, it's annoying when things don't work properly. That said, I've fought the urge to install DB3, but will definitely be reconsidering things for PB1 (which will presumably be DB4).Sounds like a lot of issues are popping up for beta 3. I guess it's to be expected with such an early build of a major release. It's great you guys are publishing the bugs here. Keeps me on the stable iOS 26 for now, can't handle my phone doing annoying things.
Yes, as much as I want to start from the very first DB1… I’ve done that before and when things don’t work, it’s not much fun.I was just on a plane, so had to use my iPhone offline. I had downloaded some music, including several playlists. I found out that, when playing the playlists, the music cuts off about 20 seconds into each song. Closing the app and restarting the song lets it play (so it’s downloaded properly), but the same issue appears with the next song, etc.
I remember this was happening last year too (or the year before that?). TBH I’ve always been on beta software, but getting really tired of the same regressions popping up over and over again.
Last year I started trying waiting until beta 3/4 before I install a beta, precisely because of this phenomenon.
I’m not even sure if I want to do that anymore or just stay off beta… I don’t mind bugs, I’m annoyed that it’s always the same problems over and over again.
I’m on iOS26.5 on my main phone.I am not sure if this is new but could old Siri pre ios26 add three alarms and reminders in one query? I haven’t tried it but I did get it working tonight on 27b3.

Third-party services recognized my iPad Air as an iPad Air in DB2, but it’s recognized as a Mac in DB3. Weird!
Ill give that go. Thanks.Need to download the Xcode beta, unzip, open contents, go to /Contents/Resources/Packages/ and if im not wrong, install MobileDevice.pkg
Happened the same to me, maybe they updated something in the firmware making actual OS not recognising the new iOS (quite common, happens every year). Also you can just install the Xcode beta if you want the easy but slower way.Ill give that go. Thanks.
Not had this issue with Beta 1 and 2.

I'm curious, where does this reasoning come from? If you've updated successfully via OTA, why bother with the IPSW?Did OTA first then ipsw no issues.
In the past, I've done it both way and had just as many problems with a clean install; I stopped wasting my time with IPSWs and just strictly went OTA. During the installation process, the device is getting a brand new OS in a new partition and wiping the old OS partition one once it's verified as working so it's the same thing anyway. The only time a DFU install is necessary is when the boot partitions get corrupted (bricked), which I've personally haven't had happen in years.I'm curious, where does this reasoning come from? For myself, I never do IPSW and just don't have unusual issues at all.. for many years. Normal issues that others chatter about, sure.. however, to be fair, I usually start the beta cycle by clearing my iPhone completely and starting over from scratch (no restore from backup) -- and this may be more psychological for me than necessary, I'll admit
Lmao what 🤣

edit: Oh, I went to non-EU country and the new Siri got activated.
Interesting. I was on a flight this past week and didn’t have this issue listening to Music playlists. iPhone 17 Pro. My phone was in Airplane Mode some but not all of the time. I wonder if the behavior would be reproducible putting the phone in Airplane Mode or just disabling all of the connectivity.I was just on a plane, so had to use my iPhone offline. This just began for me today, strangely. The search box in settings seems to be broken. If I search for Airdrop no results show up. Just me or is this a bug?
