Finding that with CarPlay, if you use Siri to dictate a text, when your done music doesn't resume.
I’ve also noticed it’s less likely to resume music. If I invoke Siri via “hey siri,” music resumes. If I click a text message from the messages app, then reply, it typically does not resume, whereas before it did.

The fact that the 27 betas on everything are this stable at this early stage is impressive at least.

Maybe to you it will be "underwhelming" but that's what it was kinda supposed to be by design. Fixing all the nagging issues (including with Siri) to refine what is already there. It's essentially a maintenance release. This has been common knowledge for quite some time now.

This release was never supposed to WOW you.
No argument on the stability. That part has been genuinely impressive and it is the sort of improvement you feel every day for a year rather than once in a demo.

But the maintenance release framing was the pre-WWDC rumour narrative, not what Apple actually shipped. The keynote was built around Siri AI. It has a dedicated app, a new Camera mode, an expanded Visual Intelligence, and Apple thought it significant enough to publish a newsroom post explaining why the EU won't be getting it. You don't issue a regional exclusion statement about a maintenance release.

That is really the point. If iOS 27 were purely refinement, there would be nothing for us to be excluded from. The exclusion list exists precisely because there is a headline feature. So in the US, iOS 27 is maintenance plus a new assistant. In Ireland it is maintenance. Same update, same hardware, same price, different product.

I'm not asking to be wowed. I'd just rather people didn't tell me the release was always meant to be modest, when the reason it is modest here is that the immodest bit was removed at the border.

So I’m having RCS issue 15 PM and only with one user. Under RCS it says waiting for activation t-mobile . I tried 8 different Android users and RCS txt is working fine but when I send txt to my mother it goes out as SMS when she txt me in comes in as RCS? Never had has RCS issue till this beta and never had activation issues but I think it’s a false positive message as RCS is working for 99 percent of my contacts except 1 (my mother) and only while me sending txt to her from my iPhone

Anyone experiencing this issue ? Any work around for this ? Or wait for another beta ?

Came across a really annoying Siri bug. Siri can’t seem to find an existing list in reminders to add items to.

Already reported to Apple.

This bug was fixed in DB2 or 3 and has come back. I've just tested it and yes, it refuses to find any lists and will create a duplicate if forced.

It also then messes up what it should be adding, and adds some random stuff to it.

Feedback logged, and referred back to the one that I closed after they'd fixed it previously.

Had T-Mobile just now push me a new esim and it’s still having same issue .

Also all my contact pictures are blank and posters and all that ? Anyone else have this issue ? On my iMac all my contract pictures and posters are there and I am synch from office 365 outlook contacts and iPhone isn’t picking up the picture into my iPhone ?

Have you sent feedback to Apple?

Reset network settings and you should be able to send RCS texts to your mom again. I have the issue where I receive RCS but send SMS to one of my contacts the beginning of the month. Resetting network settings always restores RCS both ways on iOS 26. I suspect I will have the same issue with iOS 27.

Honey the AI..

Negative. Siri "AI" or the new Siri is basically a maintenance release also since it was there but half baked in iOS26. Enough so that Apple is paying a class action settlement regarding this.

You don't issue a regional exclusion statement about a maintenance release.
Sure you can when regulations get in the way.

Sure there would. Your EU regulations excluded you, take that up with your elected official.

I got new esim pushed out to me and I just checked and RCS is working again properly on ALL my contacts . What a pain that was

just had the infamous "Connection Timeout" with mine too ... realized after trying to reboot both devices that the selected Phone to use was empty in Airdrop & Continuity settings and I had to repopulate the field again with "my iPhone" to have it properly working again.

Finally decided to take the plunge with my 13 mini. Overall it's a nice speed boost, 26 had gotten better with each progressive version but this feels like we're back in iOS 18 territory. It certainly doesn't feel like a new device (iOS 18 was slower on these A15 devices than people seem to remember) but it no longer has that "heavy" feeling that 26 brought -- and this is all before it's done indexing!

Visually I think most of the changes are neutral to positive, though I'm not sure how I feel about the 27 glass being so much lighter colored than the 26 glass on dark mode, regardless of tint settings. I've also found most of the little UI quirks and bugs are fixed. Overall very happy with it and glad I upgraded.

Edit: Worth noting that "increase contrast" brings things much more in line with the iOS 26 dark tinted mode.

I'm wondering if Google Maps is related to the CarPlay reboots. I haven't had one since I switched to Waze and Apple Maps. I'm sure it will be fixed eventually.

No more missing icons in spotlight. This has to be something on the backend as I've had missing icons nearly most of the entire beta process, but as it gets closer to the next release, they show back up. Weird.

Have you done a restart recently? Up until yesterday about half my apps were missing icons in spotlight (I guess they all had an update at one point) - they’re all back (for now).
