Beta 5 is incoming.

On Saturday night, Apple published a new model catalog and an update for the base Apple Intelligence model, along with Expressive Voice configs for every American and British Siri voice.

The new Expressive Voice configs require the new base model. The server isn't serving the new base model version to current builds, so it seems that they're staging assets for new Beta versions.

See this thread for a demo of all the new voice configurations:

Speaking of…
Is there any way to delete downloaded models? They download when you try them and I’ll only ever use maybe 3.

I was thinking last night and was curious but too lazy to research...

Are there any major announced iOS 27 features that we haven't seen in the betas yet? I know we will continue to see tweaks here and there, but I am wondering if there is anything big we haven't seen yet.

Not that I’m aware of.

There are some items with the On-Device Foundation Models that I am building into my apps that are being added during each beta cycle

I guarantee you that everyone who is experiencing serious issues with a beta is quite concerned when a beta is a week late.
I guarantee you that users with serious problems with the beta will return to the official version. Above all, however, they will use devices they do not need in everyday life. Both are highly recommended 🙂

Yeah I’m not rebuilding my phone until I move into the 18 PM, and if you’re handing out free iPhones, Macs, Apple TVs, and HomePods, I’ll gladly install on a “secondary” device.

Just to get this out of the way, if 26.6.1 is a big / important security patch don't be surprised if it takes priority over the next beta from a release standpoint. IE we get beta 5 later today, tomorrow, etc.
Can’t wait for the usual “battery life is better/worse” posts all over social media after this security update.

To remind everyone. OS 27's main focus is performance and shipping a close to bug free OS Day 1. Apple is making sure OS 27 is incredibly stable. Even though they took last week off, the next iteration of OS 27 should be close to prime time.
