Same. Many of the things people posted they didn’t like I hadn’t even noticed. Like the border line around the app icons. Maybe it was my background that caused me to miss it. But I honestly had no opinion about it. Many other examples too of where I had to go look closer to see the issue being described. Most of my friends are indifferent but one doesn’t like it at all.

Developers have the option to disable that. For example, my app “Zolvy” has Liquid Glass disabled.
Destroying the user interface that they worked on for a decade isn't going to happen, nor should it. It's a much better interface that I was expecting -- it's been over 6 months, time to stop resisting change, and learn the new paradigm and go with the flow.
Apple Intelligence (and Siri) is already far more capable than most people have been led to believe. While there are some benefits to the new versions of the Apple Foundation Models based on the same base model that Gemini was, the real power lies in the ability to use the capabilities of the apps on your device via AppIntents.
This is a big request that’s difficult for Apple to deliver on. Addicted to bragging about new features and loathe to fix bugs, they will probably carry on as usual.
