The icons beside the camera buttons switching when in landscape mode is not part of 4.1 ...

I just opened my camera app and turned my iPhone 4 into landscape position, and the little icons all rotate accordingly.

They change orientation, but currently the buttons stay in their current position and just rotate. This update will make the buttons move to different locations on the screen when you rotate the device.

That's not what MacRumors reported, read it again ... and look at the provided screenshot they tell you see as reference.

any news on a bluetooth fix?

this is the main problem on my iPhone 4. Getting a replacement tonight, but if that doesn't deal with it, and there's no inkling of Apple acknowledging the issue, or of iOS 4.1 Beta improving things, I'll be returning the phone.

I am getting an issue with the 4.1 Beta. When opening MMS pics....I get a black screen. Anyone else getting this with 4.1? I restored twice and same result.

Did they fix the appointment/meeting exchange server bug? I have meetings in outlook 2007 that dont show up on the phone. Didnt have the issue on my 3gs with os 3.x.x. The tech bulletin on apple does jack ****.

Also, what about the bug where all emails and appointments reload when you reset the phone?

The #1 improvement I'd like to see is for them to enable full AVRCP so I could skip tracks without looking at my phone while driving...

Maybe they'll announce that Jobs invented the Universe.

Steve: "I was thinking one day.... as I do... and I thought "Gee, I want to make a computer that is just so easy... that just works! You know? So I thought, oh snap! I need a universe first! Boom."

So wait. Their fix for the bars was to make the lower ones taller? That is... genius! :)

Reception and Bars

4.1 did nothing to fix the problem in fact i'm really sorry to say I think it made it worse on my phone. Before I had to really squeeze hard to get the results everyone else was having so i did not think it was that big of a deal, now after 4.1, I just hold it slightly and the bars drop like a rock!

That doesn't happen for me.

Bluetooth stack significantly upgraded including full AVRCP implementation with track skip!!! About time!

I'm pretty sure they mean that they not only rotate (which they do already) but reorient themselves in the same corners, relative to where they are in portrait (ie when in landscape, the "switch camera" icon moves to the top right as opposed to staying in place and just rotating.)

Yes... I wasn't clear. I was agreeing with the story that in 4.1, the icons shift around so they are always in the top left and right corners.

It really isn't that hard to understand guys. The update now does the top as opposed to the bottom.

This update was never meant to fix the reception issue that some are experiencing when holding the phone. And it won't be fixed by a firmware update, because the problem appears to deal with the hardware of the phone. Apple can't change the hardware design of the phone through a software update. This update is simply going to correct the amount of bars that you see that show your reception, because apparently the old algorithm to do this wasn't right. It's now more accurate in showing you what your true signal is. And it didn't make your signal worse. Your signal always sucked, it's just now not lying to you and saying that it was better.

You're right to a point. A firmware fix can mitigate the hardware issue. Perhaps even to the point that a hardware fix is not required. No indication 4.1 includes such a fix yet but there is hope as the baseband was updated.

Check Spelling? This is different from Auto-Correct? Saying it can now be turned off implies we currently have Check Spelling. Where is it?

THANK YOU!!! (that's what I've been trying to say...)
