on Apple's main website it says "iOS 4.2 is here."

Anyway, Does this mean that potentially the ABC app, and others like it, will eventually be able to be streamed to my AppleTV from my iPad with AirPlay? Because I just canceled satellite ($77/month) and I am currently watching jack*****. This would be awesome.

No upgrades here

I'll just keep my rotation lock switch the way it is thanks. Enjoy your 5 gestures for locking orientation while I continue to flick a switch.

is the iphone ios 4.2 released today going to be different from the 4.2GM that leaked a while back?

No, they're just going to leave everything as it is and change the name to 4.2 final release. Of course it's different... it's the official release.

I've been using AirPrint for weeks with 4.2GM, and the fix for 10.6.5. I'm not updating to 4.2.1 until I know they haven't re-broken AirPrint for network shared printers.

Just tested it and it printed fine. 4.2.1 and 10.6.5 are on my system. HP LaserJet 4100TN shared through my Mac.

This was a stupid change. Holding down the "volume down" button seemed an easy enough mute for me. I don't know why they needed to change it.

Seriously. It's a long season and all but championship clubs should not be dropping points to clubs like B'ham and West Brom the way Chelsea and Man U have been.

Which leaves it open to: Oh when the Spurs... O when the Spurs.. O when the Spurs go marching in to the treble.... :p

You'll be lucky to get fourth mate ;)

I rarely use the rotation lock. I use the mute all the time. It'll save me a lot more time having the mute be a physical switch than the rotation lock.

But your point is taken, and as many have already said, it would have been nice if Apple had given users the option of defining the switch's function.

Only the audio transfers for the Hulu and ABC apps. Check the Airplay section of this review:

There's a rather splendid football thread that's better suited for this type of banter. :D
