Back up restore to IOS 4.0 is pitifully slow. I contacted Apple and their excuse is that they have no way of knowing how many will interact with ITunes to update the software. Their take was that it is slow due to activity on ITunes? It was my impression that this was being accomplished on each individual's specific computer once the software download was accomplished??

My comment to the Apple Tech was that they should know exactly how many people would be downloading the software as they sold 100% of the items seeking to get the update. My request was why was there not some warning or information as to how slow this process could be so that once everyone was aware of that they could update at night or whatever and still have access to their phone??

Ah yes....

No problem.

From 4.0GM:

-Gamecenter dissappeared.
-iBooks is on Apple Store - quick download.

Just a quick note on performance on my 3g:

-quicker and zippier.
-seems like my battery life improved.
-love the folders.
-a few other things are a convenience (unified inbox, multiple exchange accounts allowance, etc).

I have the same question, how do we remove a certain app from the multitasking? Or close an app entirely, so it doesn't show up when i double-tap??

To close an app hold it down till the red - appears the press the -. I don't think you can keep apps from multitasking (if it is an app that can multitask).

Anyone having MMS issues? I can't send or receive any MMS on AT&T. Mine is a 3GS...

I'm not having any problems:). Everything seems to work as advertised so far. I've been texting to several people ever since the installation. I started the process at 2:45pm DST and finished around 3:10pm DST. That's backup, download and installation from beginning to end. Life is good:D.

OMG!!!!! it keeps saying error after telling me that it will download it in 26 mins. anyone else with this problem
