You don't use software update to update iPhone software 😉
Press the Update button in iTunes.

How do you close an app? Everything stays open right now,
to many to multitask 🙂

Everything you run goes into the new little dock. doesn't mean to say they're running, its just a short cut if you want to get to it again. Don't bother thinking about how many are open. It doesn't matter. If you really want to remove something tap and hold it in the new little dock thing. 🙂

Took like 10 mins to download in the UK, alot better then i thought!

Quicker than I thought too.

All went smoothy this time. With 3.1 it was quick to download but never managed to connect to the activation server for hours 🙁 This time it worked straight off.

I upgraded from the GM to the official release and now GameCenter is gone, anyone else have this issue...

Does everyone else have gamecenter?

Wow did they really limit 12 apps to a folder. So much for cleaning up your pages.

What's wrong with 12 apps per folder? A page can hold 16apps or folders. So a page of 16 folders, each holding 12 apps, gives you 192 apps per page!

I just deleted all my Apps, music, movies, etc from my 3G. Trying to install iOS4 again,,,this time the backup should be much smaller and faster since there is very little to backup.

I'm waiting for this answer as well.

3G doesn't see much benefit other than the unified inbox and folders. Otherwise I personally feel 4.0 runs sluggish (been using the GM for a while).
