OK, but... WHERE IS LOCATION SUPPORT FOR CANADA????

As far as I'm concerned, Siri is nothing more than a marketing gimmick, and is still 90% useless north of the border. The iPhone 4S was released in October, yet its features are still not fully supported.

Epic, epic fail...

I agree.

Moreover, I just wish to know: 'Is iTunes in the cloud for movies only for the US'?

I cannot redownload the movies on iTunes or my iPhone or iPad. :|

Now iTunes match allow you to disable cellular data usage. A really necessary addition.

relatively quick...and completely pain-free update on the 4S. ipad is now updating...took longer than the iphone on my same wifi network. ability to selectively delete items in photostream is huge.

camera button shows up on lock screen... i did get the "4G" label here in honolulu...i hope battery issues are taken care of as well, as my battery has been awful this last week. maybe some app that updated is killing it?

Not sure about this "fix for battery life", just checked the location services and the "setting time zone" when switched on keeps the location indicator on all the time. This - some said - was a major factor in the battery drain

Besides the camera button being visible on the lock screen at all times, and the 4G icon on the at&t iPhone 4S, I don't see any other cosmetic changes with the update. Am I missing any?

This update makes it read 4G in the title bar if you're on ATT's HSPA+
Someone post a pic! :D

Is Safari any snappier?

on my i4, everything seems snappier. From hitting the home button, to safari, to the messages app. i love it!

Under the hood improvements and the ability to delete photo stream photos!

iPhone 4 and iPad 2 both updated OTA with zero hiccups. First impressions are both devices feel snappier but that could just be in my head!

Have installed new GarageBand and iPhoto apps too but it's 10:10pm here in the uk and I have work in the morning... I'll play with them at work tomorrow!

* Insert comment here by some huge Apple fan about how Siri is the most useful thing to happen to the iPhone *

I agree with you though; I barely use it on my 4S, and it only works half the time. The other half, AT&T's 3G is so congested/slow that Siri will say what she says most of the time:

"I'm really sorry about this but can you try again later? Please?"

Ugh, being a designer and seeing that the new 'slide to unlock" and camera button are not centered on the grey area and more toward the bottom is an oversight that I can not agree with!

FIX IT!

Now I don't feel like a weirdo for noticing **** like this ^_^

Yup I just installed it. Also HALLELUJAH!!!! Safari on original iPad no longer crashing!!!!

The only time Safari crashed for me on the iPad 1 was when there was not enough memory (low memory warnings). So maybe the iOS 5.1 update has removed a few background processes taking up memory. Which in turn is not draining the battery as much.

Beta 5.1 (9B5141a) - Says I am current

I am a registered developer and when to the iOS Developer Site but could not find the final download.

Anybody else know how to get around this. I did see the link early in this tread to download the firmware from some site I have not heard of before and prefer to get it from Apple.

I'm on iOS5.1 beta 3 and the OTA update to the official release isn't showing. I guess I'll have to go home and do a restore, oh well.
yip. sucks. though you can still `update' by option-clicking the `search for update' button.

Outgoing Audio improvements?

Are there actually any improvements with audio on outgoing calls? I see no mention of that here but when the iphone 4S came out, a lot of people would either not hear anything when calling out or just hear their own voice echo. It wasn't present all the time but was still a big issue.

I still constantly have this problem with my phone. anyone have thoughts?
