seeing as newsstand is a "folder" has anyone tried putting apps in there to use as a folder for regular apps?

Notification Center.

^ if you have a password on your iOS device (simple/complex) does this by default render locked screen notifications inaccessible? If not is there a Settings ability to render them inaccessible?!

I ask not just for personal reasons, but also from a corporate security standpoint ... iOS devices are making rapid head-way into corporate offices - you can thank RIM's PlayBook blunders for the rapid acceleration.

These notifications are personal in nature and by right SHOULD be secure. Makes no sense to lock a device if messages (sms/mms/emails/imessage), call logs, and voicemail are still accessible to anyone who picks up your phone at a table, desk, counter or if your passed out recovering from a great party.

I'm really surprised NOBODY mentioned to ask this as of yet?
You can turn off lock screen notifications.

On the lock screen: can you swipe down to see the notification center (drawer)? Or is that option only available once you get past the lock screen?

Is there a way to not show the contents of a message, but still show that you got a message from someone?

Not that I know of right now, but write them and ask for it. I would think they could make that happen since you can do that with regular text notifications right now in iOS 4. Just a box that pops up with their name and "Text message"

The same option works for iOS 5, however this is just for messages - not mail or other notifications.

How to transfer folders made in Photos app?

I love the fact that you can create folders in Photo. Does anyone know how to transfer those folders to my Mac, or is it just that they haven't enabled that part of it yet?

I think a good option would be to make emails with just the name from the person who sent it and the subject title (and make it an option, I'm sure there are some that would want a higher level of security).

Like maybe in the Mail (or notifications customization window) give three options for the detail in which emails are shown:

1. Name & Preview (& Subject?)
2. Name & Subject
3. Name

that sucks, so then it is a useless icon for us that don't want any magazines.

oh well.

It's not "useless" or a "dumb little thing Apple forgot about"

Its there intentionally, to sell you magazines. It can't be put in a folder, so the most you can do is hide it on the last page.

Do you have any idea how hard the publishers (one or more of them) had to lobby to get this there? This is HUGE for them, as it will sell hundreds of thousands of subscriptions ultimately, all by itself.

No. Notification center is past the lock screen. Considering the lock screen itself acts as notification center (minus widgets), I can see why.

Is it true that after you unlock the phone notifications that you didn't look at don't show up on the lock screen?

Drop and drag calanders!

Why is no one mentioning this? This was a feature I was dying for since the very begning. I found it so annoying that if you wanted to add a calander entry, you had to click "add" and fiddle with that stupid date/time wheel.

Now, you can simply double tap the calander, and it brings up a new entry. You can slide the begning and end times of the box too.

This is HUGE, and NO ONE is mentioning it!

Of course. Why would they still be there? You saw them when you were on the lock screen and either ignored them or chose one and went to it. Once your past the lock screen, your other unseen notifications are where they belong, up in notification center.

Once you address them, or clear them, they're gone from notification center too. Exactly 100% how it should be.

Shouldn't the default to be to always remind the user they have unseen notifications. If I am going to ignore a notification wouldn't I just clear it from Notification Center? As it is it appears that there is no notification that you have notifications in the Notification Center (past the popups for new notifications).

I do understand that it is beta 1...

I agree that it is nice that drag and drop works in the calendar app.
