IOS 5 Beta 8 - Today???

Do you have a legit dev account? Or did you have your UDID attached to someone else's account?

Hey you guys with the new iOS 5 betas, is the weather app itself still on the home screen? If so, is it really necessary? I think Apple should just link to the weather app through the notification center.

There could be a number of reasons, but I'm sure once the servers are up you will be able to restore if you have a dev account.
my phone doesn't want to activate today ? mmm... well i'm staring at it right now and it's asking me to activate.

Good luck with "beta 8." Sorry about your "beta 7" not activating. BTW People with "beta 6" can no longer activate their devices.
Are you sure you were running beta 7? I was running 5 or 6 (can't remember) and mine had expired when I woke up this morning. Currently upgrading to 7.
well i "thought" i was on 7, maybe it was 6... can you past the URL so I can upgrade to 7 please charliecc
shouldn't we have had the option to OTA update from 6 to 7 ?
I did get the option to upgrade OTA but I ignored it because my battery life had been so good.

Mine is asking to be activated this morning too.
I had reverted back from beta 7 to 6 because beta 7 screws up the network data settings from the more sensible format of direct network setting entry, to the more troublesome profile setup instead..
It also broke internet tethering for me for the Personal Hotspot feature. Therefore I reverted back to beta 6 and got the network entry setting option back and 'tethering' worked again for the Personal Hotspot feature using cable or bluetooth link (WiFi tethering hasn't worked for me since one of the iOS version 4 updates???)
Has beta 6 definitely expired and is the activation server down?

Me too. I did look at how to put it on my phone without a Dev account. Too much hassle! I'll wait for the full thing.
They didn't say it was out yet. Because they put a question mark after the statement they were basically saying will GM be the next release?

I've 9 months of contract left so an upgrade is out of the question. I put iOS4 on my old 3G prior to getting my launch 4, the experience was horrific. Given iOS4 apparently runs fine on a 3GS (which I've no experience of), I'm just hoping same applies for iOS5 and the 4.
