I hope for many betas before the GM. iOS5 is the most unstablest version since iOS 1.x.
There is many many many work to do in iOS5 beta 7.
Do you upgrade or do you put the iDevice in DFU-Mode, restore and set it up as new?
Alwas as a complete new setup. I'm not a fan of OTA.
according to http://www.applehistory.us/ the update file now says Sept 21st
So why is the owner of that website suggesting those are either the GM or Beta updates
Apple Not launch beta on this friday, saturday & sunday.. maybe next friday GM will be relaese..
ooohThe update file means nothing. That just means when the device will next check for an update, same as the summary screen for a device in iTunes.

Correct mate
I'm using ios 5 beta 7 and I think it's great
As its a beta there has been some issues with Facebook and some Apps not working ir freezing .....
But apart from that it's been brilliant on my iPhone 4![]()
irritates that the sly news app doesn't work but part from that its grand
I'm totally convinced GM is Sep 28, the same day as the Event and the release of iTunes 11 (Or iTunes 10.5).
I think they skipped Beta 8 and went straight to GM, there's no way in heck we have time for a B8 and then 3-4 weeks for a GM then a week or two to public. That's almost pushing it into November with those release dates.
The longest gap between betas in iOS 5 is 18 days (Which was Beta 1-2). Today the 18th is 18 days after Beta 7 which will make it the longest gap between releases. Final beta to GM is always the longest wait so that's why I'm convinced.
I think these next 2 weeks are going to be awesome, I for one can barely even wait!!
