Waiting too

Been waiting 4 hours for my email. This is a little much.

I've been waiting too. Just a few hours, but what do you expect. Im sure apples developer registration system is getting slammed tonight. Also, they said they will get back to you within 24 hours. So they set an expectation.

All said, I feel your pain. Give me a shout/post when you get your activation. I haven't even gotten my receipt e-mail yet.

It has been mentioned that Airprint is enabled for any printer in the iOS5 beta.

Is Airprint running through a PC/Mac print server or can it be run through an Airport Express or Extreme?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

:)

I have it working on my printer connected to my imac via usb. No need for airport. I dont think it will work on windows.

Really, you can't downgrade?!

No, at least not by normal methods. There may well be a convoluted work-around but Apple warns you you cannot downgrade.

To be honest with you, the developer program is meant for developers. It's not designed for impatient people to get hold of the latest OS. When you sign up you're told there is a wait for activation.

iTunes 10.5 and Lion

I am running Mac OSX Lion Developer Preview 3 and when I try to install iTunes 10.5 it won't let me. I click the "Install iTunes.pkg" and all that happens is my current version (10.2.2) of iTunes opens. Any fixes?

Thanks!

Hmmm...

I have xCode installed for a while now, downloaded iTunes 5 and iOS 5, but when I option+click on restore in iTunes to choose iOS5, it is greyed out. Anyone know why this is happening or what I am doing wrong to update my tester iPhone? Never had problems with previous beta versions...

Is anyone missing the wallpapers in the wallpapers section in settings. I can go into it but all I see is a white screen. I wanted to see if there was any new wallpapers. :(

I didn't go thru all the threads, but there is ATV2 update as well, to mirror screen via AirPlay..Sounds interesting. didn't test it yet.

iMessage are gonna be great. I don't think it will affect WhatsApp a lot, because its cross-platform.

I have to say I was bummed to see they put all that work into yet another severely limited chat app. They had ichat. Then they had facetime, which isn't compatible with ichat, now they have iMessages which isn't compatible with either of those two either.

All I want is one. One app, that can communicate between ichat, facetime, iMessages, yahoo messnger, google talk, google voice, skype, facebook chat, etc. Call it iNyoFaceTime.

I'm not asking for a spot from some dev, but I do have 2 simple questions:

Does email now have its separate password or can you enable a password for it?

And, pertaining to the Get Things Done Apple app, can you set up repeating notifications (like every 3 days, every month, semi-annually)???

Thanks!

How to register for iOS5

Hey guys. I am really excited about trying out the beta. Right now I have the "free" developer account. To get into the iOS5 beta, do need to upgrade to the $99 iOS Developer Program?

Is there anything else i need/should know before i do this? Right now I am running itunes 10.2, do I need a different version?

Thanks for your help in advance!

1) iPhone
2) iPad
3) Lion
4) Apple TV
5) XCode

Anyone else having difficulty with wireless syncing? ALl on the same network, did it once, but now my sync button on the iPhone is greyed out in options and it doesn't appear to be happening automatically either. Anyone got any insights?

Yes, but...
1, 2, 4 and 5 all fall under the iOS dev program. #3, Lion, is under the Mac OS dev program, which is separate.

From Apple's iOS 5 Readme notes: "In iOS 5 Beta 1, wireless syncing is disabled"

:)

I've tried three configurations and none have worked on the first gen iPad.

1. Printer connected to Mac with printer sharing turned on.
2. Printer connected to Airport Extreme and shared through printer sharing.
3. Printer connected to Airport Extreme without printer sharing turned on.

I have joined my university's apple developer program and apparently I cannot download iOS 5. Is this by design?
