I would settle with notifications close to what Blackberry uses. What they have now is the worst I have seen on any phone.😡

Agreed - make the home button circumference glow and the lock screen have proper notifications on first slide.
 
1. Less obtrusive notifications system, with the ability to see all recent notifications.
2. Wireless Sync and OTA updates
3. More voice commands, with speech to text built in

I have an idea, realize that EVERY operating system, including iOS, has room for improvement. The current notifications system on iOS is shocking, whereas the notifications system on Android is a selling point.
 
1.- Wifi sync iTunes ( I think this will be true with iCloud system 😉 )
2.- I don't know... I think Apple always brings great surprises in every launch 🙂

2. "Cloud" integration - Shared file system/cloud sync for files and music library (iDisk and iTunes) - Make iDisk work better and make it become the integrated filesystem for iOS. It would make moving files to your phone or iPad way easier. Also cloud sync for music, like Amazon but without having to re-upload your library and integrated into the iPod app.
3. iPad/iPhone/Mac integration...At least iPad. Being able to answer calls/respond to texts from iPad when paired with the iPhone.

Exactly. There is no technical (they have custom ringtones) or good reason for that missing feature besides them wanting control. But maybe apple will implement it as a teaser to get the newest phone. Like how the iPhone 4 has new text tones while the 3GS does not.
 
1. Notifications (Perhaps like Android?)
2. Multitasking (A WebOS style “cards” system would be nice).
3. Over-the-air sync, including OS updates
 
1. New Notification System is a MUST (I agree with most people and think they should adopt an android style notifications system).

2. Nav/voice search/text input built in throughout the OS

3. Better multitasking - I think they adopt a WebOS card style approach

I have used an iPhone primarily since I paid full price for my 1st gen iPhone. But, honestly if apple doesn't fix the notification system in iOS 5 I may begin to loose faith in them.

2. An SBSettings-like menu for commonly accessed settings
3. Flash... since that'll never happen, I'll say turn-by-turn navigation built in

I think they just mean syncing your friends profile pics with the corresponding photo on facebook. This is already possible through the Facebook app though. To be honest I don't get why people are so worked up about Facebook integration. If you don't like it, don't use it

Because I don't trust facebook to find some way around "not using it".

I mean on their webpage they all the time switch preferences around and automatically set you on the one that gives your info out (until you find out and reset your preference back).

Basically, I just trust facebook to be as sleazy as they possibly can get away with
 
1) wifi itunes syncing
2) full featurewed GPS ala google maps on droid phones
3) custom ringtones/profiles ala blackberry
 
1. New notifications system with a revamped lock screen
2. Wireless sync with OTA updates.
3. (For the iPad) Multiple user support (For the iPhone) Revamped Maps with turn-by-turn.
 
Most of the things you guys lust after is already available on Android phones LOL

3. One button close for all open multitasking apps so I don't have to hit the "X" on twenty different apps.
