Can't remember but could you say Take a picture to siri and she open the camera in 6.0 or is new she opens the camera when you say it in 6.1?

Did they do anything with Safari?

It needs an OSX style unified search/address field that searches through Bookmarks, History and also Google/whatever else.

I think the onscreen keyboard would make a unified search/address field problematic. Remember the keyboard changes when typing in the address bar, with the space bar being most notably absent.

this probably wont be out for awhile so they will add more features and bug fixes kinda like iOS 5.1 it did not come out till spring.

New iPad controls

The new iPad music controls add lots of functionality.

Shuffle, repeat, and you can scrub through a song from the lock screen!

That's my iPad mini

That's pretty hideous. Hopefully they'll tweak it. A lot.

When you press done that's when she finishes the sentence. When you start again she always capitalizes the first word. You could always say period then start again or any other punctuation mark.

Thank you for checking it out. In the versions of iOS prior to 6 pressing done did not end a sentence it merely allowed you to pause and think about what you were wanting to say next. It would not then capitalise the next word.

If I want to end the sentence then I would say, "period" or "full stop" as you correctly point out.

Siri only used to capitalise after saying one of these options. I am disappointed they haven't fixed this in both 6.0.1 and now 6.1

it seems I'll have to report it yet again.

If there is someone reading this that is on the beta program & uses Siri to dictate a lot, finding this to be a problem, please could you report it through the beta channels as well, that'd be great.

After reading through this thread it looks like beta 1 has very few new features. Is this typical for a Beta 1 release?

Maybe the volume in the lock screen is a ore curser for some sort of quick brightness control.

This may be the final version because it doesn't say "beta 1" anywhere.
But yes it is unusual for a first beta to have few features. Usually the features are less as more betas arrive.

The software itself will never say "beta" in it. Only the dev center will say it's a beta.

I found a new feature: adding to the Reading List now has an animation, which flys the link into the reading list icon (like Safari on OS X).

It's intriguing that a x.1 update literally only has a bigger button in maps, a small UI change for music controls on the lock screen, and things like the reading list animation. I wonder if Apple thought these were really the biggest things that needed addressing. And I know it's only the first beta - hopefully subsequent ones have more improvements.

What are you talking about? This is literally SECONDS worth of work for a moderately capable programmer.
