I don't think someone posted this, but calendar now can change the color. Not just random preset color.

Or this is since ios5?

Hey guys just wanted to pop in and I'm not quite sure if It has been mentioned yet but on the iPhone when sending a tweet or replying to a tweet in the twitter app, the status bar where you see the time is replaced with "sending tweet" then "tweet sent" and then the status bar comes back! Check it out!

That's nothing to do with iOS 6, it's the latest twitter app update, ambient notifications it's call in it's settings.

Edit: macrumors article covering it. https://www.macrumors.com/2012/07/10/twitter-updates-ios-app-with-push-and-ambient-notifications-a-new-logo-and-more/

I don't have iOS 5 on my iPad so I can't show you a pic of iOS 5 contact pics, but here is the pic of iOS 6 contacts :) maybe someone else can publish a pic of iOS 5 contacts so you can see the difference

here are some "little things" I've been thinking about...

1) why haven't they updated iOS safari to match the new OSX Safari 6.0? Namely the new omnibar and progress bar animation.

2) These new metallic accents in various apps - sliders, music app, phone dialer, etc... I wonder if these are meant to compliment the look of the next iPhone. Maybe it'll be brushed aluminum?

Yeah I was really thinking about your first point as well, why no unified search bar mhhhhh.
your second point is quite interesting yh, they have probably done it cause of the metal iPhone, but I don't really know, nice idea though

can someone check to see if you can finally send iMessages while in airplane mode with wifi turned on (without the notification coming up all the time)?

The MMS needs to be fixed I cant send any pics to any carriers or phone except thru iMessage
MMS Messaging is probably off in Settings for the Messages app. Same thing happened to a friend of mine last week and was driving her crazy.

In my (brief) testing it only showed the warning notification once: the first time I opened the Messages app after turning on Airplane Mode. It did not appear again, even if I force-closed Messages and reopened it. Seems fair to give that one warning then let it be.

How is it possible to have wifi on in airplane mode? In airplane mode iMessage and anything else that need a connection will not work.

I was wondering what "ambient notifications" were.

I really like Twitter's Ambient Notifications. Very nicely implemented. I think Apple could do something similar in their apps. For example, in Mail or Messages, when sending something, there could be Ambient Notifications in the status bar instead of the loading bar at the bottom of Mail.app and at the top of Messages.app.
It would look really nice and I think it'd be more useful considering the current progress bars when sending messages or emails isn't that accurate.

na that didnt work it just isn't working at all.
