Just a random question kinda regarding iOS 6.

Do you think Apple would issue me a replacement if, for example, my home button broke or something while i'm running iOS 6? I know they won't help you if your device is messed up because of iOS 6, but I'm paranoid about my home button and lock button. :p

Yes it does (Sí, sí lo tiene)

I don't have access to the beta software and I live in Argentina ( that's southamerica and we speak Spanish). Can anyone tell me if beta 3 has Spanish Siri and Spanish turn by turn navigation?
Thanks everyone

Hola, yo soy de México y acabo de actualizar a la beta 3 y te puedo confirmar que Siri ahora habla Español y te da instrucciones "turn by turn" también en Español.

Saludos.

I know this is beta and beta doesn't fully represent the finished product etc etc however, I seriously hope the maps app is at least 10% complete. I mean the UK is a tiny dot on the map compared to American states yet the satellite imaging is so patchy.

I have checked in London and at home and there is no traffic information yet, London should I feel be 3D and the satellite quality in the whole of my county is shocking.

I'm not complaining just making observations about a product that looks so far from being finished. It's one of the main apps I use and even when they release it I don't think I could live without street view. I really think google should develop a maps app exactly the same as the current one and even if they charged £3 ($5.50 there abouts) I'd still get it.

On the plus side turn by turn is a revelation, fantastic feature well executed. Anyway this is now a review and less about features.

Damn - I was hoping they had made a decent attempt on the UK maps. Maps around Manchester + Leicester would be ideal for me but if London hasn't been developed properly yet, I'm guessing everywhere else is going to be lacking as well.

Where did you use the turn-by-turn? Was it as accurate as a dedicated SatNav?

I don't see how iOS 6 beta can mess up your home/lock button, however, if it did happen, why even mention you put iOS 6 beta on it? Just restore to 5.1.1 and claim warranty.

Well yeah I know it wouldn't mess it up, I'm just saying if it broke during the beta period. Like I said, I'm paranoid about overusing my home and lock button which is why I use AssistiveTouch.

If 3D is already including residential properties, there is no reason why it can't be expanded to towns and villages as well.

To add to the Maps discussion...

I've noticed since Beta 1 that the Maps aren't showing traffic info on my iPhone 4 (red/yellow/green lines). Perhaps they just haven't finished adding this data to the Maps app yet, but just to be safe... has anyone else been able to see traffic info other than construction and incidents? I've tried viewing in several major US cities.

Thanks!

Facetime over 3G

When you try to allow facetime over 3G, you get this popup that takes you either to your cellular providers site (in my case ATT) or it calls 611 if you press the top button. I can't turn on facetime over 3G with iOS 6 beta 3

its great to see maps is improving in europe and US,
i wish apple would work on New Zealand a little. some areas go to black and white when you zoom in..

"iMessage on iPad Now Gives Option to Add Phone Number for Unified Messaging" this point. It is available on iOS6 Beta 2 too, you'll need to go to 'Settings > Messages/FaceTime > Send And Receive' and select 'Apple ID and click cancel.

on another note, WhatsApp now allows you to select your photo to send without freezing.

I found the turn by turn to be as useful as my old Tom Tom (of which support apples turn by turn navigation). Obviously I'd recommend still a proper tomtom but it's a very good option. The bug telling me to "exit right" on every motorway/A road is a bit concerning lol. I think in the whole map app the turn by turn is the most near complete feature but still, needs a lot of work.

If maps is key app for you incl satellite images stay well clear of ios 6 for now...
