It was said in the beta 1 release notes that high quality satellite images were not in the beta. I think they are gradually being enabled so should expect London and the uk should start to see high quality satellite maps by GM or launch.

London has been 3D mapped by C3 prior to apple buying them, it will be in 3D at official launch, if not sooner.

People are being impatient and judging on a beta. It's silly!

No love on this front for me. All my emails sync automatically, but my phone number isn't available

Running a beta unless you're a developer will end the warranty on your device. But, you can turn Assistive Touch on if you need to. It has controls for all the hardware buttons.

Thanks mate update appeared right after I read this lolol. Anyway I don't know if it's a bug but whenever I go into the passbook app the brightness suddenly increases to a near-maximum. Anyone else? Sorry if posted more than once!
 
New 3D to beta 3: Denver, San Diego, and New Orleans

Old 3D: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Seattle, Miami, Los Angeles, Mountain View, Cupertino, San Jose, Montreal, Copenhagen, Sydney, Melbourne
 
Whilst in 'Do Not Disturb' mode 'vodafone UK' gets cut down to 'vodaf...' but when you wake from sleep mode it scrolls from side to side.

Haven't used Passbook or the beta, but if it's like other barcode apps, it probably maxes the brightness to improve the scan-ability of the screen. If I were to guess.

Hard reboots did not work for me. However, Reset Network Settings and it immediately started working upon power-up.
 
Is anyone else having problems with the keyboard sounds and video volume is cranked all the time? I try to turn it down, but it doesn't do anything.

Apple replaced one of my beta tester's iPhone 4S under warranty and it was running beta 2. I just had to add his new phone so he could put beta 2 back on.

I believe you need to go to Apple ID on your iPhone first for Apple to tie your phone number to your Apple ID.

Why of course! Turn By Turn isn't available for iPhone 4 and older generations. The volume control is for the turn by turn navigation.
 
iTunes -> More -> Ping is still present.
Still gives the same "This feature is not currently available on iOS 6."

It's curious that it's still there, and that it says "not currently".
Isn't Ping going away completely?

If that's a case, it's bugged because it stays raised after exiting the app.

What was the issue?
 
Is it new that it shortens the carrier name in the status bar when in DnD mode? Didn't notice that in earlier betas. I don't really understand why since there's plenty of space left. This should only be the last option, similar to hiding the battery percentage.

Perhaps that's the change for the next generation iPhone? Perhaps edge to edge width?
 
Sorry if I'm not posting any new features or improvements in this post as everyone seems to already found everything. But, can you guys help submit feedback to Apple?

- 2 finger swipe left or right in Safari to go back or forward just like in Safari in OS X

- Bluetooth and WiFi toggles next to their names in settings just like it is implemented in Airplane Mode and DND mode.
