I noticed comments here and there about not having the option to add a number to iMessage on the iPad although it has been confirmed as a new feature in beta 3... I do not have the option to add a number either and was wondering if anyone actually had an answer as to why this is not an option for some of us? (I have tried resetting and restoring, etc all do not have number option for unified)

I had it working on my iPad in beta 1. It was fiddly and took a while but got there in the end. You don't add it, iMessage & FaceTime flash up a notification about a phone number being associated. Heres what finally worked for me. You have to sign out of your apple ID under iMessage on both devices, sign in on the iPad first, then after 10-15 minutes, sign in on iPhone. Took me about 5 goes for it to kick in.

My 1st post! Had a look on this thread and didn't see it, but...

I've found Screen Shot is no longer under Favorites under Accessibility. It just shows Pinch. Bit of a bummer as my home button doesn't work and I was liking this feature in Beta 2.

I love in Australia. And have noticed in ios beta 3 , I can now ask Siri to find a dentist, restaurants, Italian, Chinese restaurants. It's pretty interesting. Anyone else have this in Australia

So great to finally have location services for Siri in Australia. This seems to have been turned on in Beta 3. Haven't fully tested it out yet, but seems like there needs to be more businesses populated. My nearest servo is 6.5km away!

I turned off iMessages on my iPhone and iPad and quit it on my MBP, then opened it up on the iPad first, then the iPhone then finally on my MBP and I got this a few mins later

All I did was add my phone number where it says to add another email address. Worked straight away. Not obvious though!

I dunno what a servo is, but here in the UK my nearest post office is apparently 40 miles away! And the nearest petrol station is 5 miles away.

Other places apepar in the Yelp app itself, so clearly Siri isn't accessing all the data there yet. Hopefully that's just a setting to be changed before launch.

Iphone 4s iOS 6 Beta 3

two issues you cant find directions via public transportation with maps and plus u cant send pictures to non apple product users:(

video

i found another glitch in less than two minutes you can use home sharing in video app without it crash and home-sharing doesn't work in music ether

I know this is beta and beta doesn't fully represent the finished product etc etc however, I seriously hope the maps app is at least 10% complete. I mean the UK is a tiny dot on the map compared to American states yet the satellite imaging is so patchy.

I have checked in London and at home and there is no traffic information yet, London should I feel be 3D and the satellite quality in the whole of my county is shocking.

I'm not complaining just making observations about a product that looks so far from being finished. It's one of the main apps I use and even when they release it I don't think I could live without street view. I really think google should develop a maps app exactly the same as the current one and even if they charged £3 ($5.50 there abouts) I'd still get it.

On the plus side turn by turn is a revelation, fantastic feature well executed. Anyway this is now a review and less about features.

Traffic seems variable, but I'm seeing traffic in London (a row of red dots, and roadwork icons). Isn't available everywhere, though. But I guess that depends on where they're getting their data from?

Do the red dots mean bad traffic? I'm seeing that, too.

The one thing that drives me nuts that they haven't done yet even on ios6 is to categorize the notifications on the lock screen, like they do on the notifications pull-down.

Instead of a nice neat:

Mail(2)
- mail message
- mail message
Message (2)
- text message
-text message
Phone
-missed call (2) and voicemail

...I get a jumble that is difficult to scan:

Mail message
Missed call
Voicemail and missed call
Text message
Mail message
Missed call
Text message

This seems like something very basic that they should fix. I know it is available with jailbreaking, but it makes more sense and they should do it is way as well.

I'm assuming it does - seems like logical places for bad traffic!

BTW - I had been having issues with bluetooth headphones not staying connected and my iP4 not auto connecting to my MiFi. Both of these have been resolved.

Does it not do that if you set the notifications to 'sort manually'?

Has anyone notice that Siri is no longer working in the UK like the Beta 2? I used to ask questions like who won the English premier league last season, where is the nearest restaurant etc. now it just responded me would you like to search the web, and I can't look places in the UK. One more thing the battery life is draining really rapidly don you think?

Working fine here...
