I don't want hundreds of new contacts automatically added to my phone.

That seems to be exactly what it does, it's really annoying. In the contact app, you can uncheck Facebook contacts, and it will show the contacts that are on your phone, but when typing in an email address for example, every one of your facebook contacts show up in the quick fill. Lets be honest, most of us have little to no desire to email or call 95% of our Facebook "friends". I really hope they fix this before the GM.

If you go to Settings > Facebook and turn off contacts it will not add your Facebook friends to your address book.

I wish the Facebook contacts sync allowed you to only sync the new "Close Friends" group in Facebook. That would solve the problem nicely.

Maybe if a bunch of developers would suggest this to Apple they would make it happen. The current implementation is almost useless.

Beta 2 was super laggy on my iPhone 4, and now Beta 3 runs so smooth that I forget to check out this thread anymore :p

I agree 100%, Beta 2 was really slow on my Verizon iPhone 4, but Beta 3 is at least as fast as iOS 5, maybe faster in some instances.

Same thing for me on my iPhone 4. Beta 2 was terrible, but so far 3 is pretty quick and smooth overall. I also had major camera issues (slow to start, crashing) that are now resolved.

Some of these issues were also present on my iPad 3, though not as noticeable. Seems much improved now.

didn't bother reading the post from page 1, but just want to inform that pressing both sleep and home button simultaneously to restart doesn't show the slide to power off anymore. so it's faster. so u keep pressing both buttons, then iPhone's screen suddenly becomes black and showing apple logo within seconds. nice refinement.

Anyone know if they fixed the most irritating part of the iphone. How mine always ALWAYS corrects "so" to "do"

anyone else have this problem?

I HATE THIS. Thank you for bringing it up!
Somebody please answer, does iOS 6 still do this? And if so, can it be changed??

It drives me nuts.

I'm sure someone mentioned this before, but App Store updates are DELTA! Finally, I've been waiting for this for so long. The update to minecraft today took 5 seconds to download and install, I'm sure it didn't download the whole game all over again. I'm so happy about this, I'm surprised they didn't mention it during the keynote.

Yes, great feature.

Lol. I just want my battery to die. I've notice this off recently that battery has improve massively. How abut you?

I've noticed I've been getting about 30 minutes less of Usage. So for example on 5.1.1, I'd get let's say 5 hours on screen time and on 6.0 I'd be getting about 4 - 4 1/2 hours of on screen time.

Ok for me I'm happy with any thing over a day in standby and few hours usage as I would preferably like to charge my phone before bed. My misses sometimes gets 36 hours standby and couple hour usage but doesn't surf and play games as me. I think the new iOS in final stages will be good on battery consumption as more bugs are ironed out and iCloud getting more stable.

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but the icon for the new iPad clock app has been tweaked between beta 2 and beta 3. The changes are subtle (mostly tightening up the shadowing), but I do think it's an improvement. See the screenshots below.

New icon (beta 3):

Of course, I'm not sure what it says about the amount of time I spend using my iPad that I noticed that... :D

I'm curious, how does contact synchronization work? From what I understand, iOS 6 automatically syncs your contact list with your Facebook friends, but considering the fact that many people have hundreds of Facebook friends, that doesn't seem like a great idea. I want some contacts synced but I don't want hundreds of new contacts automatically added to my phone.

How does Facebook integration on iOS 6 deal with that?

It works well. You can also merge files because some people have nicknames on their Facebook

Hate that!!! Turn off the auto correct and there you go

Calendar integration with Facebook events.

Pure awesome, this might sound lame but FB events are a significant percentage of events I'm attending at any given day (parties, concerts, benefits, etc) and now they automatically sync into the calendar.

Amazing.

This has always been possible by subscribing to your Facebook iCal feed.

Battery life seems great, am I looking at around 12 hours here!? Nice!
