Bugs

So on my iPad 3,3 I'm still seeing some annoyances. Location based reminders is still not working, it can't possibly be this hard to enable it so I guess it isn't a high priority :(. In addition the twitter and Facebook shortcuts which were there in b2 vanished in b3, and they still haven't returned! Annoying.

The App Store is much smoother now. In the iTunes Store they still haven't enabled the 'purchased' tab for iTunes in the cloud.

The clock alarm went off for me this morning, previously it didn't for some reason. I still woke up at like 10am though.

Can anyone confirm that the Music app now does NOT include podcasts regardless of whether or not the Podcasts app has been installed? iTunes synced my podcasts but the section is missing in Music for me. Upon installing the standalone app they were all detected. In previous betas it only removed them from music when the app was installed. Removal of the app put the podcasts back in music. Not the case for me at least in this beta.

confirmed. it is not in the app even without the stand alone podcast app

Thanks, thought it was a glitch. Especially after updating my iPad and seeing podcasts are still in the Music app there. Hope to god they improve the dedicated app before release because this move is gonna piss alot of people off if not just confuse people. I can only assume iTunes will be getting an update too to direct people to the Podcasts app. They should have just made it a new built in app instead of using the app store to essentially beta test it.

AT&T Up To Their Usual Games

Another interesting item I've found in the new beta4 update relates to the use of FaceTime over Cellular Networks and AT&T's typical stance on Double Charging us users paying for Unlimited Data.

I think we all should campaign together to get AT&T to include these services like Tethering and FaceTime included in our unlimited data plans, I'm currently looking into maybe switching to another carrier, does anyone know if there are other providers that offer these in their unlimited plans?

I am not on the ATT Bandwagon but I can see where charging you more to use services via your unlimited plan is acceptable, I mean those are services that can eat through some crazy amounts of data. If you have the limited plan then I agree and you shouldnt have to pay extra to use your data.

My iMessages were not displaying in the correct order, often getting mixed up in order with messages that were days old. why is that a "huh?" moment?

I also noticed that I had not received certain text messages, and once installing the beta4 update, I received three or four messages that were sent to me. Also noticed that my phone log had not been working properly just prior to the update as certain calls were not being logged, but seems that all is fine now. Just watching to see if the battery life has gotten any better.

I've had the unlimited plan with my iPhone since version once was released years ago. I just don't understand how these companies can make money hand over fist by double charging for data use. I mean, don't call it an unlimited data plan, then tell you that you must pay a fee to use certain things. I could maybe see if it was a little cash, but as an example to use the tethering, they wanna rape you 30 something bucks more a month, that's just plain crazy. Hell, I may for a certain amount of minutes a month and only use a fraction of them, but do I get a credit for the minutes I don't use? Of course not.

iCloud Download Icon

In the early version's of iOS and the betas it would have the iCloud icon along with how many song are not on your device but are in the Cloud. It no longer says the number of songs.

Screen does not wake up when adjusting volume while listening to music :D

YES

I hated that in beta 3 sooo annoying and great way to kill your already limited battery

----------

Not sure how new this one is but I've just noticed the Blue Marble wallpaper (Earth) has gone.

Maybe for same reason they pulled YouTube license ran out? Lol

----------

I know it's made in 2009, I got it in 2011.

Fair enough cheers

Wow, so far battery life is Amazing!

Agreed by now my phone would typically be at about 70% it's currently at 93%

That should be covered by non-Apple developers so I wouldn't imagine it would be covered in these betas; not ideal, but that's how it will likely be.

Most city's have their civic transportation company's app on the App Store already and usually free if your city has not put one out then that's a cheap ass city lol

I never trusted google for my cities public transit schedule hell I barely trust my city's own website for schedules but never would I trust an American company with a Canadian traffic/public transportation schedule. I sure it works great in the States though

Yeah - I have used Google Maps for public transport and they work reasonably well; at least in DC. I'll be interested to see how the new Maps will work with independent apps linked with the official app.

There's a bug in Passbook, all images (icon, logo, picture...) on the passes are non-retina. I guess it just forgets to pick the @2x pics included in the pass...
