Good riddance to a neglected app. Apple designed the UI for the Maps and YouTube apps originally. Google got much of the benefit.

Let Google do their own UI work instead of piggybacking off of Apple's designs.

Agree. The YouTube app was old and neglected. Maybe it will be updated in the App Store.

Well Vimeo already has a rather well done app on the store. This 3rd party YouTube client is coming to iOS also, http://ytpl.us.
 
I think Apple getting cutting YouTube is beneficial to both the consumer and Google.

Once they get a new version into the App store Google will be able to push out updates for it whenever they like and the consumer in turn gets a more updated and complete experience.
 
Maps street labels are significantly larger at certain zoom levels. I don't think I like it. They feel almost bolded. Normal is too big, small is a bit too small. *sigh*

I have been talking to an editor and sent him a lot of these already.

Siri examples uses real data from your contacts to make them. <------FALSE!

Seems like everyone is getting the new examples not specific to the device...

I'm going to have a wild stab in the dark and say apple will allow you to purchase coupons/vouchers via the App Store. Eg Starbucks etc
 
Some emoji now have shadows.

DND still doesn't allow SMS message tones. Pretty clear that they don't plan to add this as a feature. Sucks for people in IT on call that want piece and quite during the night but still need SMS alerts to system down type calls.

just login into the newer faster safari an make a youtube homescreen bookmark it contains more features than the old never updated youtube app from 2007

Would you not just add whatever numbers your SMS messages come from to your favorites/group to allow alerts from? Confused as to why that wouldn't work..
