Just wondering will it be possible to update to first public release update ( let's say iOS 6.0.1 ) from GM or not ? How was it like in iOS 5 times ? Could you be able to update from iOS 5 GM to iOS 5.0.1 ? If it will be possible I'm thinking about updating my main device (iPhone 4S) to iOS 6 because iOS 6 on my test device (ipod Touch 4th Gen) is really nice :)

Yes, you can. GM/RTM = Gold Master/Release-to-Manufacturing. It's the same build they are mass producing iPhone5 with in China to ship to customers. Can you imagine if no iPhone 5 recipient could update to 6.0.1?

So it was possible to update iOS 5 GM to iOS 5.0.1 . One more little question will I still be able to update to 6.0.1 from current GM if Apple releases a 2nd GM ?
Thanks ;)

I don't push notifications option or iTunes under the Facebook section with iOS 6.

There's no second GM, nor will there be. GM is final. It's called the golden master because it is the build that will be available to everyone. They declared it days (possibly a week or more) ahead of the announcement.

Is it perfect? No. But it was declared GM because they found no bugs worth slipping the release for.

The term golden master comes from earlier in software development when you'd send a master CD/DVD to manufacturing. That master disc was the "golden master" used to make all the pressed copies. Apple still uses the term for the final bits of software releases.

The only reason devs get it about a week ahead of everyone else is so that they can do final testing on their software before making the updated versions available to end-users. It also gives Apple's IT folks a bit of time to prepare for the launch to millions of people (logistically more involved than just posting it for devs).

Well fudge crackers! Option+Restore this morning and after 4 hours I'm down to 52% battery. I'm on iPhone 4 AT&T with my normal workload. It's a little better than when I Option-Updated yesterday but still will be almost dead after 8 hours. :-(

Now I have an iphone 4 jailbroken with 5.1.1,if I check+update from itunes,is my iphone gonna be slow and do I have to reinstall ios 6 when the public release is going to be out?

Updating from iTunes won't do it you have to manually update from iTunes with the GM file.

GM is, 99% of the time, the same build as public release

Nope. As i stated, it's the same build that the public gets, bit for bit.

Because I read on a site that says the ios 6 gm has an expiration date and I will have to reinstall it when it will be public on 19th september.

Ok,one more question and I am done,if I update now with "check+update" from itunes, will the iphone going to be slow,I have ios 5.1.1 jailbroken.

Remember to backup your device first. Coming from a jailbroken device, using "Check for Update" may cause your device to go into recovery mode. Whenever I update from a jb iOS, I inevitably have to do a restore.

What about app store,it seems laggy,is it because apple is working on it,even on windows, the itunes has now some non functional buttons like "apps" music" books"

...although, there has been an occasion where Apple released a different build of the GM to fix a bug...remember no?

Yes I remember. It was iOS 4.2 which went public as 4.2.1 . It was the only time 2 GM went to developers for testing the software. But they were Over-the-iTunes updates, so my question remains unanswered. But big thanks for all your efforts :)
