I am in beta 4 and still not getting on gold master.
I am officially registered and tried three four times.
What are my options.
Thanks.

I don't want to disturb the dev for links.
Are their any direct links.

I did the option+update route with a torrent that I found, is it safe or should I downgrade to 5.1.1 and just wait for the OTA?

Can you restore from a back up coming from 5.1.1 or do you have to start all over?

2nd Battery Cycle WAY better!

Option+Update and was getting bad battery still.
Option+Restore yesterday and battery drain was not as bad but still not great. 7% remaining after 8 hours.
2nd cycle today and battery drain is WAY better! Almost 11 hours since unplugged this morning and still at 44%!!!

This is what I keep sayin'. Restoring your device as new totally helps! Going the OTA way or Option(Shift)+Upgrade is not the way to go at all. Restoring my device as new has made my battery life AMAZING!

I never restarted over, I always either restored a backup, or just went the Alt+Upgrade route. Never had a single battery problem that couldn't be fixed. When it showed up, it could be fixed by resetting the network settings. Never had to enter DFU mode in my iPhone life (and I've been testing betas for as long as they were available on the developer program).

So please, before losing all your data, try resetting the network settings only.

I always find it takes 2-3 days for battery to balance back out so if you only gave the update route 1 day or less (like it sounds) then your not giving it a chance

i really love iOS6. it makes my iphone 4S smoother in everywhere, and ram usage is optimized too, when i browsing safari, then turned into games for a while, back to safari, the page is rarely refreshing again.

must have been a good ram optimization apple did.

that's what i love about apple, u dont need high specs and loads of ram to get the phone running smoothly!

Over a day now, and only down to 47%

You can't get GM OTA or via update. You need to manually download the GM and manually update/restore. If you want OTA, wait til Wednesday.

thanks for info,
this is what I was confused about.
I will wait for final build to be available.
cant waste more time to do iPhone customizations twice.

that looks like single core efficacy due to iPhone 4 being single cpu.

Why didn't they displayed notifications instead of black stripes

That looks terrible! Especially the top. Hope the developers is updating the apps for the launch.

It's just like running an iPhone app on an iPad... run a standard app on a bigger screen, you get black space.
I'd expect most developers will update their app so it displays full screen anyway...
