My battery life is greatly reduced. I go through 5% every 5 mins. In 2 hours, the battery is dead. All started after 7.0.3. Guess a trip to Apple is needed.
I was shocked after downloading 7.0.2 at the increase in battery drain on my 4s. 6 hours was it, using the same settings I had on iOS 6. Down loaded 7.0.3 under the supervision of Apple customer support; killed the sims and had to get a new 4s through Verizon under my extended warranty.
My new phone came with the iOS 6, same settings and right now I'm at 16 hours with 60% left.

16 hrs ?? You are speaking about STANDBY time, don't you ?

Mine looks strong on iphone 5! :D

It isn't strong at all. You should have 1-2 hrs more ... at least with iOS 6.

With all the battery drain with IOS7, so much hoping apple will let us go back to IOS6.

Forget about it.
We have to hope Apple will fix the problem with iOS 7.
Think forward.

My iPhone 5 will 'standby' for ever, it's the usage time that's important. With iOS7 the usage time is less than 6 hours, when with iOS6 I was getting over 8 hours.

Same for me.
If the network coverage is poor, there are days when I can't reach 4 hours !!!
6 -7 hrs only when under good coverage.

Glad I stayed on IOS 6 :)

Yep, I used to have similar results.
Btw after five weeks on iOS 7, UI of iOS 6 looks very "ancient" to me ....

Not that bad...

Would have been a bit better on iOS 6 but I'am not complaining unless it takes a dive for the worse. Running 7.0.3 restored from backup. All of this was heavy LTE browsing (about 475mb on this charge) with some texts and a few phone calls on 3G.

after reinstalling everything, i am just getting about 3-4 hours of usage before I have to recharge.

granted it is a 4s and maybe that is the problem since its a two year old phone.

My iPhone 5 seems to be doing slightly better on 7.03 than previous version. Getting almost 8 hours usage. Granted I have many features disabled and brightness set to around 40% (same with iOS 6) but I can get through a whole day on a single charge. When I first installed iOS 7 I was getting around 4 hours usage with most features enabled.

Could you go into details about your settings?

Thank you!

Yes I am speaking about standby time. 6 hrs was it after the 7.0.3 download.

Wow 6 hours of standby time is a terrible result :(

BTW I invite all of you to download the last version (trial) of iBackupBot and look at the More Information about your iPhone.
There is a part about the battery, reporting total number of charge cycles , Max Charge supposed and actual.
I just discovered that my 8 months old iPhone 5 is down to 85% of it (1215 when it was 1430 originally). It's not a ruined battery, but it could means 1 hour less endurance.

With that battery and a good network coverage yesterday I had 17 hrs 37 mins of standby and 7 hrs 31 mins of usage time on a single charge. And keep in mind: I HAVE ALMOST EVERYTHING ON.
With a brand new battery I could reach 8 hrs.

Those latest numbers seem fairly good. For me on my iPhone 5 those would fall into the above average category as far as what I would typically get (and I even have some things disabled, like background refresh, parallax/animations, and a few location services).

Latest numbers are fairly good considering the fact that my battery is aging as iBackupBot told me ....
With those numbers I can use my phone during all the work day with an above average using pattern.

The problem is that I can achieve those numbers only in Milan (my hometown) where network coverage is strong almost everywhere. In Rome, where I live, network coverage is spotty and weak, and I can't reach 5 hrs, so I must recharge the iPhone just after 13:00 ... I have a mophie juice pack always with me, but I'm non happy since the issue started with iOS 7. I strongly suspect the new o.s. to be much more aggressive in network search and data exchange than iOS 6, so in an area where the phone keep switching between 3G and Edge the battery drains quite fast.

I have 248 cycles and 1151/1430 mAh. It's 80 percent. My phone is 11 months old.

I thought these batteries are supposed to be okay for up to 300-400 cycles.

Since I'm in Thailand, there is no apple store to make a genius appointment. Sigh.

Mine got even better since I deleted mailbox and feedly, went back to exchange push.
No music, all browsing and calls.

A lot of effort?

My battery life is even better on 7.0.3. Did I do something special? nope just the USUAL checklist from an update:

1. Reset network settings
2. Reset settings
3. Restarted the phone

Can you confirm?:
After the iOS updates, my phone and pads are slower and draining battery at a much greater rate. Did you actually completely reset your phone with the update? For me it would mean re-entering 8 email accounts, lots of business apps and a bunch of other stuff - a lot of time and effort. If that is necessary for a clean upgrade and better performance, I will do it.

I see I'm not the only one. I've gone from charging my iPad every four to five days to doing it every other day now. What's the deal? I check all the settings and I can't see what could be causing it. iPhone is worse also.

Is this good battery life??. 6 month old iPhone 5 BTWImage

Well , you should be able to reach 7 hrs, which is good, but battery life must be evaluated at the end of the day, under 10%, because it's not completely linear.

No, the resets he's suggesting doesn't involve a restore as new.
You only have to set again your preferences in settings, but not email, application or contents ....

Btw I did a restore as new, to try to solve the problem, and it didn't work for me.
A lot of time wasted ....

Some Clarity for you:

Reset all settings: This option does not remove any apps or delete any accounts. It just resets settings such as notification options, sounds, etc.

Reset Network settings: This option resets the network aspect of the phone. I.e. Wifi passwords, VPN settings, Carrier specific things.

I think you are confusing Resetting with reinstalling everything all over again.
