Well, I doubt they keep them going.

I'm pretty sure they do, that's how they make money.

And they definitely do in your case since you were able to use beta 2 and 3. You 100% must have your UDID registered with a dev account to install those betas, so therefore your UDID is still registered.

You really think ***** Devs keep their slots that are filled and doesn't clean them out?

Yep.

Either way, there's no sense in arguing. Obviously your UDID is registered, so that's that.

Is there any actual proof that unregistered UDIDs don't work? Or is it the usual scare tactics this & other sites give?

I find it very hard to believe that a dev who sells spots on "one of those sites" hasn't cleared out his list in over two years.

Yes, there is proof. The proof is that it doesn't work. Apple, for the first time ever, has started checking a devices UDID when you attempt to update to a beta beginning with beta 2. If you're not registered, you are sent to the activation screen and told to register your device. It's not a scare tactic, it's a fact.

And I don't find it hard. What these sites do, is they register many different accounts, with each account able to register 100 devices (I think, the number may be different now). As each account's slots are filled, they register a new account.

Think of them as a business. They don't want to drop support for people that previously purchased as then they would have bad word of mouth being spread about them, which would hurt their business.

Just the way it works.

Link?

Link to what? Search around. As soon as beta 2 came out, everyone that was not registered was locked out. As of now, if you're not registered, you get locked out if you try to upgrade to those betas.

I'm not going to do research for you, google it for yourself. But the facts are the facts. If you try to upgrade to beta 2 or 3 and are not registered, you will be locked out and have to restore your phone. Apple are checking UDIDs with their servers when a device attempts to use those betas.

If you can update to them, you are registered.

strange, from day to day, why my 4s has worse and worse battery life with the beta 3?
i only get 10hours standby and 1 hours of usage now and my phone completely died. i just used for bbm and another social networking, not heavy usage.

Does the weather animation bug issue still occur?

In the previous beta, when reduced motion was turned on, the weather animations turned off, and when reduced motion was turned off, the animations again started

I answered this exact question from you a few pages ago. I guess my answer wasn't good enough even though the first two replies you got stated the same thing.

install beta 3 on an ios device that you previously had never registered. ios 5 or not

The only other device I have is an iPod with ios6 on it, and it will not run iOS 7.. So, even though I find it extremely hard to believe a dev account from 2-3 years ago has all the registered devices still in it, we're going to have to let it rest.

I've noticed when my phone is unlocked, iMessages don't show up in NC.

At this point a link to the opposite would be needed more. Are there many or even any--beyond yours, which seems like has a more likely explanation of your device still being registered as it once actually was--reports that you see of people being able to install beta 2 or beta 3 without being registered (for sure)? There are certainly plenty the other way around.

It happened to me, I tried to update my iPhone 5S to iOS 7.1 beta 2 and as soon as it finished updating it booted my out telling me that my iPhone was not in the developer program. Previously, I was running beta 1 like a charm.
I registered and it immediately worked again.

Yup, it happened like that to most (if not essentially all) in that situation.

Dude Tyler is 100% correct. You cannot load iOS 7.1 b2 or 3 without UDID registered. You should drop it as you are wrong. It will lock you out with the Activation message telling you that your device is not registered with the Apple Developer program. As for your device you lucked up. Dev get 99 slots so if whoever registered yours does not need all those they could potentially just keep renewing their block and all devices year after year. Apparently that's what is happening with yours. Enjoy it!

Well I know u answered it .. But i replied u back saying I had reported it to apple via bugreport and they said its a bug and and not a feature .. This thing should not happen

----------

I don't think that's a bug. Reduce motion cut down all the animations but in the beta 3 they separated the parallax effect from other animations so chances are they might separate the weather animations from the rest as well.

I had reported it to apple via bugreport and they said its a bug and and not a feature .. This thing should not happen.. So if it's still happening .. I'll have to report it to them back .. I'm not a paid developer just a free safari developer so I don't have beta 3 so could please tell me if it's happening?

----------

Exactly, that wasn't a bug. Turning on "Reduce Motion" does just that, reduces motion. The weather animation is a motion.

U know I had upgraded to the ios 7 beta 6 or 7 back when it released .. I'm Not a paid developer and my UDID isn't registered.. I could do it because I downloaded ipsw and upgraded on the next day of the release it when it released and didn't wait...but I just went back to ios 6 so that I could download the public release .. And again after a few days when I tried upgrading to beta 6 , I had an activation failure(so I know my UDID isn't registered) so I stuck to iOS 6 only... Well u do have to be registered with $99 but if u r unregistered u could get past on the day the beta gets released or the next day .. I'm am 100% sure that if today I download beta 3 I'll get an activation error..

U know I think I've read on this site somewhere .. Some one said apple shuts the UDID checking for 1 or 2 days when it releases because there are so many people who upgrade... I don't know if that's right .. But I got past the 1st time and I got an error in the 2nd time ..

As if iOS 7.1 beta 2 it would happen immediately.

Actually happening to me as well, 5s Usually get home from work with about 60%, yesterday I was 45% at lunch. I usually arrive to work at 99%, today I was 84% with no usage. Had no issues before with beta 3 battery, was actually better before yesterday.
