iOS 7 does when compared to iOS 6. But that isn't right or wrong or bad or good--that's something subjective that everyone has a different opinion about. So, asking people which one looks good isn't something that would result in anything more than different opinions none of which are any more right or wrong or good or bad.

In any case, not even remotely related to what the thread is about.

I would figure you would respond or comment or be generally disagreeable. However I was responding to the comment before mine but thanks for moderating the thread for us all anyway. We appreciate you. And good bad right or wrong or whatever there is no denying that the 2nd option (right side) looks older because it is. Born on 2007 not late 2013.

Although I did quote your post in replying to the question that was posed (perhaps as rhetorical it might have been), I didn't call anyone out on anything, just plainly said that that part of the discussion wasn't really what the thread is about. And, by the way, I'm not the only one who pointed out what I did about that part it all--and even used much less favorable wording than me--as you can see, but thanks for trying to attribute it all to me somehow as if to make some sort of a non-existent point.

As for looking older, sure, it's older, simply by numbers, of course...which, once again, has no relation to being good or bad or right or wrong (or even pretty or ugly, which are completely subjective and unrelated to even old or new or anything like that).

So you are saying you were essentially practically baiting there then? And, by the way, I'm not the only one who pointed out the obvious (and even used much less favorable wording than me), as you can see, but thanks for trying to attribute it all to me somehow as if to make some sort of a profound yet non-existent point.

Not attributing all to you. Just not bothering to keep this going as you stated "In any case, not even remotely related to what the thread is about." I was simply replying to the poster before me not "hijacking" the thread. Never said it was "good or bad or right or wrong" either. And you do seem to always disagree with what most folks post no matter what the topic or subject matter. But that's OK as that is what a discussion forum is all about yes! Anyway I agree Beta 5 is solid on the 4s :D

As a statement about that part of the discussion (as I clarified my earlier reply), it was on point and not actually aimed at anyone in particular (and certainly no "hijacking" or anything like that was used in what I said).

As far as "good or bad or right or wrong" that as to expand on the whole "ugly" part being subjective, not to say someone was saying something about it.

As far as agreeing or disagreeing, I post my opinion, as the vast majority of others do, and certainly there are those that have a different opinion that mine disagrees with and others have one that mine agrees with--it's not exactly all one way or another. That seems to be the issue it would appear: people try to read something into what I post that isn't really there and/or make some sort of of a biased assessment of it all that comes out, well, biased, and not really related to what was actually said or being discussed.

But that's not what this is all about either, so, yes, iOS 7.1 beta 5 does seem fairly stable so far (on iPhone 5). The earlier 7.1 betas seemed fairly stable, but different ones did have some bugs here and there, while this one seems to be more polished in that respect.

If iOS 7.0 were as rock solid as 7.1 beta 5 appears to be, there would be no need to start a "tonne load of dumb threads". Fanboy apologists make me chuckle... claiming that 7.0 was just fine from the very beginning and that those with a complaint were being stupid and childish and yet they acknowledge that 7.1 beta 5 is "better". Better than what? According to you it was already perfect. :p

Thats not what I said. I never used the word perfect. 7.1 is better than 7.0.x is what I said.

after a week on 7.1 beta 5 I have not yet had a single app crashed and the diagnostic logs are very minimal. GM could be on the horizon soon...

Is Safari stable now or does it still crash? Any springboard issues?

7.1 Beta 4, safari was pretty unstable as with other third party apps. Now in beta 5, I have yet to see a safari crash and no springboard issues with the iPad Air or the 5S.

I just can't imagine why Apple would take so long to release this to the public as it fixed a lot of crashes on my devices.

I just recently jumped on the 5s and have had no problems whatsoever on 7.0.4. I have done all the things I could think of that I wanted to with the 5s as well so far.

Guess I will not notice any difference then with 7.1? Maybe just battery life but currently it gets me through the day so I haven't really even monitored that much either to tell the truth.

I'm not jailbroken if that matters.

Been brilliant for me until today when it went crazy with battery drain so restored and back to normal I think... fingers crossed.

Here's the kind of battery life I'm getting. Pretty happy.

Yes, it is rock solid,,,,and hopefully puts an end to the tonne load of dumb threads people are starting here. Never seen so many silly threads on Macrumors in a long time.

Sorry to see you think things like my iPhone 5 suddenly turning off at 40% charge are "dumb" or "silly". I tend to think issues like that are rather important.

Yep constantly have low signal at my apartment. And no, no audio listening during that time.

That's awesome then, my battery drains about 3% per hour on one bar of 3G. I guess that's not that bad since the signal is absolutely atrocious. My standard drain on normal LTE signal strength is usually 1% every 2 hours not using the device at all.

Clearly, the issue is the end user and not the fact that the text has gotten somewhat smaller and thinner and thus less readable for more people.

There are myriad solutions for nearly every type of visual problem--multifocal contact lenses, bifocals, cheaters. If you have a vision problem, I'm not sure it's a device manufacturer's responsibility to accommodate it.

Dumb question on my part, carry on.

Yeah I suspect it was made that way to create a new accessory for Apple getting in like Google Glass. They will be super readers called iCanSee that you can purchase for $99 as an accessory for iOS 7 devices so you can actually see it. And the disclaimer will be ** Not required for devices running iOS6 or older**

I know that no one actually knows, but any estimates based on past betas on how long before we see 7.1? I'm hoping it holds off until next week so I can get my new 5S in and jailbroken on 7.0.5 before 7.1 ruins it. lol.

I understand that iOS 7.0 wasn't perfect from release. I don't know that may operating systems are in the first few months. The difference between 7.0 and 7.1 is dramatic in bugs and performance. Considering the difference between 6.0 and 7.0 was as big as XP and Vista and 7.0 is in much better shape then Vista was. I'm interested to see what people think of 7.1 once it's released.

I'm really curious what 8.0 will bring. Hopefully we won't go through the same few months of regression.
