not a fan of the keyboard, seems bulky i like the older one much better... and the green has changed i noticed seems a bit brighter...glad they finally made notes in the calender for holidays you'd think that would've been done years ago

pic?

updated my all idevices and found 1 bug i think, if i use safari after few minute it hangs, i tried fresh restore (full iOS7.1) but things remain same, overall 7.1 is good in speed and work.

My 5S is flying now! I see now why people were saying 7.0 was slow. Can't wait to update my mini when I get home from work! :D

I think given the universal response that it's much more responsive really shows that it was a dog compared with iOS 5/6.

Glad it's finally here!

My old iPhone 4 is finally usable with iOS 7. Was "stuck" on iOS 5.1.1 before so I am happy with iOS 7.1. So far so good. But haven't even used it for a day. So I hope it will keep being this good.

The animations are seriously quick. You notice it immediately. System apps launch in under a second, now. I'm impressed at how fast the App Store launches.

The animation for the multitasking view is still just like 7.0.x and I hope they speed that up too in the next update.

In my experience iOS 7.1 is the fastest, most security, and reliable mobile operating system ever released. I'm very impressed and excited to get these loaded onto all my iOS devices as soon as possible. Android and Windows just can't compete with Apple in the areas that matter to consumers.

So yeah this is a really great update - and amazing we all get it for free on all our devices!!!

Safari seems a bit snappier!

(Only joking).

On a serious note hopefully it will cure those safari crashes on my wife's iPad air.

Safari honestly seems snappier, no joking here :p

7.1 generally seems much better - animations are so much better, especially the pinch to close apps on the iPad. The green phone/messages icons are also much nicer.

Only thing I don't like is the keyboard - keys are way too bold and the shift key will take some getting used to.

Did they swap the highlight on the shift button in ios 7.1?

I keep thinking shift is off when it's on, and vice versa.

Haven't come across any bugs so far. Not voting until I test battery life. Overall it's very stable though.

My 4S is much nicer now! Is anyone else getting the reverse order in the music app for albums? When you tap Artists>Albums they now show the newest first. Not sure I like that change...

Honestly, I'd rather listen to more recent music by artists anyway, so I'd rather not scroll all the way down. But they should have a way to choose what you prefer.

The greens are actually darker.

Improved performance on both my iPhone 4S and 5, just updated my 1st gen iPad Mini but not had chance to play properly with that yet. Lots of subtle but good improvements, I like the new keyboard and easier dismissal of notifications in the notification centre.

I've an iPhone 4, yet to do the update on that as was about to sell it but will update it now - both to help sell it and to see how it performs with 7.1. Good to see Apple is still thinking of a 4-year old phone and targeting part of the latest update on improving it's performance :)

please post more detailed later on.

battery usage etc

Say what? Something may have gone wrong for you.

I don't think so. I did have reduce animation on. I turned it off, and the pause is still there, but it is masked by the animation a little bit.

Also, I am using the pinch-to-close function on the ipad. I noticed that if you press the home button to go to the homescreen, you get a different animation which is faster.

Either way, I have heard beta testers report significantly improved animation speeds, but it looks about the same for me.

I've only noticed less stutter in the notification center, and so far, safari hasn't crashed (but that's not saying much since it's only been 2 hours).

My iPad 2 is heck of a lot faster now. And it appears to have much better memory management, because usually it can only handle 2 apps open at a time, before restarting apps, but now it can do 4. Awesome update!

The keyboard seems faster when I send texts. The phone and messages apps are also a darker green in color. Haven't had a chance to surf the web on it yet.

On my 5s the animations are faster, seems like fonts have been improved as I turned off bold text now as it was too bold now with it on. Safari seems faster, hopefully the crashing has been fixed.

Since the update to 7.1 on my 5s the poitioning service arrow is permanently visible although no app is running. I want to get rid off it because it seems to decrease battery life. Any ideas?

Mine was doing this as well, stopped after I restarted the phone

Never mind that, it came back after a few minutes.
