It seems like the people asking why 7.1 is such a big deal haven't used the betas, or at least beta 5.

To be honest...7.0.6 is working fine for me since I upgraded from iOS6 on my iphone 5 earlier this week. Not had any crashes or any issues, there is some slight lag but not too bad. The day after I updated to iOS 7.0.6 I decided to do a full wipe and restore from previous backup since I knew sometimes it works better and since then really no issues. Now the look (too much white) and the music app are a different thing.

Less crashes, more responsive. I enjoy the new calendar app. I like how the today section for the calendar in NC groups events better.. less blank space

Are you referring to the native iOS Calendar app in 7.0.6, or is there a re-designed Calendar coming in 7.1? Because the Calendar in the current OS is atrocious ...

I'm a patient person and was in the "we get it when we get it" boat. However I'm really surprised we are still waiting on this in the beginning of March.

I'm with you as well however. The iOS team is ridiculous, they should at least alert their developers in advance when a new beta is coming out

Well if it's not out either tomorrow, Friday, next Monday or next Tuesday then I really have no idea what Apple are doing.

I'm starting to lose interest in Apple and their steady spiral down. Call me what you like but I expect top service as a customer. When I don't get it I move to another platform.

What the hell are you talking about? You're upset the 7.1 didn't come out today?:roll eyes:

Buh bye now. Have fun with Windows/Android OS

Although android and windows do suck, this guy is kinda right... Apple is going down

What I'm upset with is the constant crashing of iOS. I'm talking hundreds of my users having this issue in my organization. It's not made up, it's not a fake issue and it's not hardware. It's the OS and Apple has neglected myself and users all over by dragging it's feet correcting it.

For your information our Android devices have issues as well but NOT near as bad as this iOS 7 failure. The complaints to me and my department with iOS crashes out number the Android tickets by double.

We have no windows devices except DELL OptiPlex systems. That's a different story all together and not meant for this thread.

So yes I am very disappointed 7.1 has not rolled out.

It's fine by me. You can ditch Apple's ecosystem and switch to Android but you'll come straight back.

people that say this are apple newbies who are either: recent mac converts who started using the mac after 10.4 and so missed the whole 10.1, 10.2 bugfest.... or recent iOS adopters - started with iOS 4 and missed the whole 1.0 and 2.0 bugfest and the whole pricing and marketing disaster that happened earlier on.

fact is, iOS 7 was an overhaul of an OS. You should expect things to not move along the same way as the OS versions that came right before it.

Apple are going down? I'm not sure you'll say that once iPhone 6 and iOS 8 are both out.

No I actually won't say that, but it is a fact that the company is going down.

You are completely WRONG when you thought I am an apple newbie. Is having a Mac for 5 years a newbie? Is having an iPhone since iOS 4 a newbie? NO! And you're telling me to expect bugs since this is an overhaul? I KNEW that!

And if I remember, iOS 4 had tons of bugs too. As well as the iPhone 4!

Try again. I've used Apple for decades and started out with iOS from day one.

The problem here is that we went from a very stable iOS 6 to a buggy iOS 7 with performance issues. I've been around since Mac Classic and Mac OS X 1st edition. You can excuse a first release of any OS but not when you go from a highly polished and stable iOS 6 to a buggy mess that runs like crap on the latest and greatest hardware from Apple.

You're right and the reason iOS 7 is so laggy it's because the more cool animations and transitional features you have, the laggier ANY OS would be

Reading the first post should suffice:

I didn't read anything in that thread that warranted this level of excitement. Reading the buzz on 7.1 you'd think that this update turns lead into gold or something.

"Oh my God, the keyboard might be dark now!" Big deal. Here is how I interpret all the buzz on this stupid release....

"Holy Crap!!! My life is so boring that Apple releasing this minor update means I don't have to drink all the anti freeze in the garage today. Hopefully this tiny update will give meaning to my empty existence until iOS 8, iPhone 6, or iWatch comes out."
