Haha yeah, but then again it's apple. There's no predicting.

It would be dumb of em if they don't release it this month, 6 months development is really more than enough for a .1 update, and the consumers are pretty much done waiting

How did they spend the same amount of time for a whole version number up as a .1 update. That doesn't make much sense. It seems iOS 7.0 was rushed and iOS 7.1 is being held for too long.

Aside from iOS 7 needing more time in the end at least, they started working on iOS 7 as soon as iOS 6 was released if not even somewhat earlier, so certainly not the same amount of time, and maybe half the time at most (but likely less than that even).

They spent a whole year on iOS 7 maybe more they only release the first beta and then four months later release the GM, but that doesn't mean that they only worked 4-6 months on it.
And

I predict a soon release of 7.1, like I said b4 2 weeks end, we will have public release 7.1 (or at least the GM which is the same) in our hands

I like how people were calling BS on March rumors. Well here is march, it's officially the end of February, and still no GM

It's been Saturday and Sunday so far this month. Apple aren't going to release it on a weekend.

Wait until either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Except I got a $190 discount on my 32GB Air. I'd hate to lose a good portion of that discount. That's my problem. I do love the hardware, I have zero problems with the way iOS 7 looks. I just want it to run smooth. I compare it to my iPad 2 and I just smh.

Good point. So seems you should keep it then. I am sure at some point the Air will work just fine. iOS 7.1, iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 8. You should get iOS 7.1 very soon or go download the last beta and test it if you absolutely cant wait. Keep in mind tho that the release will most likely be even better than the beta so if beta 5 is acceptable for you then you know you should be good to go. I suspect you should have no worries and should just be patient. Can always sell it later too if you want to and the 190 you got discounted will help recoup your dollars.

You do know iOS 8 will have its first beta in 3 months right? The team still working on iOS 7 pales in comparison to the iOS 8 team. I agree it been a long wait but there needs to be a bit of perspective here. Not to mention that team is probably working on the iWatch OS

Oh it doesn't concern me. I'm on a jailbroken beta (have been since late December, rMini on 7.0.4 was garbage and then for my iphone I just followed suit the next month when I re-acquired one and ditched my nexus 5-- OT I know) until next public jailbreak and just on a hunch I'm assuming 7.1GM won't get it.

I'm just stating that rumors were right. 7.1 would be coming out in march.

So when does the Geneva Motor Show officially start? Because looking it up, some people say the 3rd and other people say the 6th. Also, do you guys think that if the announcement is on Thursday that Apple will seed the GM on that day? Or on Monday or Tuesday no matter what?

It's exciting to think we could have a dark theme to iOS 7.1

Do you think they will surprise us even though it was not in the beta.

7.1 confirmed for this week during CarPlay announcement.

GM released to the public either today or tomorrow and then an update for CarPlay? Is that what you're saying?

I've read a few articles about the announcement of CarPlay and none of them say that iOS 7.1 is confirmed for this week. How do you know this?

At the end of the article on the front page is states that CarPlay will be available this week in an update to iOS. It can be assumed that update is 7.1.

Yeah. OK. Time will tell but I'm hoping it's today or tomorrow!!

CarPlay will be available as an update to iOS 7 and works with Lighting-enabled iPhones including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5.

It doesn't mention about 7.1, it could be 7.0.7

Early in the beta cycle of 7.1 there was a story posted about iOS in the Car being part of 7.1 with a rumored release in early March. CarPlay was just announced and it's also early in March. Not to mention that 7.1 has been in beta for months and hasn't had an update in 3 weeks. I think it's safe to assume 7.1 is coming this week.
