iOS 7.1, Where Art Thou?

I cant wait to get the GM on all of my devices. I cant believe we have had to wait this long for a stable version of iOS7. Truly disappointing.

By the time we get our first glimpse of iOS8 we will have only had a fully working iOS7 for a few months :/

Haha, yeah. I was thinking that this morning. The crashes on my 5s have been pretty bad recently and I barely use my retina iPad mini because it's been poor since the day I took it out of the box. Hopefully that will all change soon.

Believe it or not I was a defender of iOS7 when it came out 🙄

I can also safely assume that it will be released this week, since iOS in the car is part of 7.1, and they said that it will be available to the public via software update I'm pretty sure that's their way of confirming iOS 7.1's release this week, where the GM is though, I have no idea. But judging by the facts we have here, there probably won't be a GM for 7.1, which is kinda unorthodox for Apple, but hey, Apple does whatever Apple wants. (We might see a GM today, and a public release on Thursday or Friday, but that is also highly unlikely)

Yeah, a couple of people have said Apple will release iOS 7.0.7 for CarPlay, this isn't going to happen. A minor update for something this big? As you mentioned, CarPlay is part of iOS 7.1 so there's a 90% chance that iOS 7.1 is coming out this week as CarPlay has already been launched, it's just when. Today, tomorrow, Thursday or Friday? Time will tell!

For those who experienced problems right out of the box, why did you folks keep it to begin with instead of waiting for an update that guarantees NOTHING! Color me puzzled!!!

They haven't done it lately, but if I am remembering right there also wasn't a GM release for iOS 5.1.

90% chance this week............lol. 2nd week in March.

I'm not completely certain that necessarily confirms the update will be publicly released in the same timeframe, rather than a bit later. But hopefully that's the case.

Technically that says available with vehicles this week. "CarPlay will be accessible this week with vehicles from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, while other manufacturers such as BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, "

The actual press release from Apple states:

"Pricing & Availability
Apple CarPlay is available as an update to iOS 7 and works with Lightning-enabled iPhones,.........."

So iOS could actually be released today.

It doesn't mention about 7.1, it could be 7.0.7

It could be but 7.1 beta has the Car display setting.

Still off by an hour if it's even a possibility today. That's not to say that it couldn't happen later in the day (or week or even month).
