iOS 7.1, Where Art Thou?

It says that CarPlay will be available to use this week and requires an update to iOS.

It's a small assumption, but it seems almost definite that this would be included in a 7.1 and not a 7.0.7

ETA: sorry, someone already posted this almost word for word.

Yes, I mentioned yesterday I think it was that it would be kinda stupid if Apple made CarPlay available though 7.0.7 considering how big CarPlay is. Do you think iOS 7.1 today or tomorrow then?

I never said today, I said that according to apple, it will be released this week, and the second quote was there because they said that it will be accessible thru a software update, and carplay is a main feature of iOS 7.1, so that's why I said it will be released this week.

And I'm sorry about the whole "can't you read thing" it's just that, u and other forum member are saying that it might not be released this week and apple kinda confirmed it.

Sure. No hard feelings. It's just some members on here are saying the 2nd week of March (someone actually said it a minute ago) but I'm not sure. Anyway. Time will tell. I'm just hoping we get something today!

You can read whatever it is that you want into CarPlay statements, but nothing related to iOS 7.1 has been confirmed. Plenty has been implied (and a good part only indirectly), but nothing has been confirmed.

It's pretty direct, if carplay will be released via software update this week as they stated, then I'm sure it's 7.1 since a.) carplay is rumored to be a main feature of 7.1 and b.) it's highly unlikely that they release 7.0.7 then 7.1 a week or two later

Oh NO! Looks like you have to plug it in several times before it "Just works" I hope you dont really have to plugin and out 3 times to get it activated :rolleyes:

BTW 7.1 beta has CarPlay so this could have been shot months ago.
 
AS much as I want iOS 7.1..... I kinda hope it does't get released today to watch all the babies crying for their bah bahs.
 
I suspect it to be released around mid March.
It still has alot to be done. They kept changing the UI.

Yes second week of March it is. A lot of people don't realize that CarPlay had an extended Beta and the Promos were obviously taken using Beta's. After today passes this will die down, another week at least until 7.1 GM.
