Let's see....

That ultra skinny version of Helvetica will be the new standard font, meaning it will be unreadable for anyone over 30.

Exactly ;)

Que up the (paid) Android/Samsung-employee-posing-as-a-normal-MacRumors-poster invasion for tomorrow.

And oh God.....the whole removable battery/memory card thing is so overdone. I have no need to switch out a battery, and no need for a memory card.

DO YOU HEAR US YOU PAID ANDROID SHILLS? WE WILL NOT SWITCH OVER, AND WE HAVE NO INTENTION TO!!!

But haven't Samsung officially stated that they have "ceased all marketing activities that involve the posting of anonymous comments"?

:)

Everyone is looking at the number 7, but no one is paying attention to the background. hexagon grid

I was about to post the very same thing. That is the hole pattern used on the speakers on the laptops and the Mac Pro cases. It does not show up on ANYTHING related to the iPhone or iPad. Could this suggest the integration of iOS7 with OSX?

I for one would love to run iOS aps on my desktop or laptop. I have been amazed no one has made an emulator to do that yet.

This!

I'm quite a usability nerd, and this 'ultra thin font' fad thats predominantly been created by windows phone 7 will definatly alienate people...
Form follows function, remember?

Readability comes before 'looks'.

I knew it! Those dumb mockups where they only removed the "halo" and background striping of the icons seemed so stupid. iOS 7 is going to be way different.

All Macs will run iOS and all ports have been replaced with Lightning connectors, which also provide power for the computer. Peripherals will only work if the manufacturer's license fee is current with Apple. All software must be rented from the App Store. You may not compile code on your computer unless you pay $99 per year. If you figure out how to jailbreak your Mac, it will void your warranty.

The SSD slot in the retina Macbook Pro is removed; replaced by soldered in flash memory. The retina model is now .00002 inches thinner as a result. Also, the screws that hold the bottom on have been replaced with glue. The other Macbook pro is discontinued.

Some will complain about this making the Mac useless for getting real work done. Others will hail it as the most innovative thing in the history of the world.

Microsoft will poke fun at it while secretly making plans to copy it.

Sea Lion

My bet is that they are transitioning to water animals by calling it "SEA LION", the killer of penguins.

I'm thinking there is a good chance that iOS and OSX are going to be unified/merged somehow.

I said something about it. You just didn't read all the posts. :)

I don't know which is worse... the Android fanboys, or the Apple fanboys.... (or the clueless bloggers...)

Duh...yup...yup

Old guy...not only blind, but stupid too...:(

Can't see because I'm over 30. Too stupid to understand...

You incredibly smart young guys have to be patient with us old morons.

dont feed it =)

Polarizing? I know what it means, but can someone explain how it's used here?

Perhaps he meant that some people will like it, some will hate it.

Or

Some people will say it is a blatant copy of Android and others will say it is a copy of Windows 8

IOS 7: Thinner, and lighter. We saved storage space and removed the App store so you can't upgade it.

The Dots

The dots the are forming the floor under the Helvetica 7 are reminiscent of the grill on the front and back of the Mac Pros. The use of helvetica Nue font could represent NEW ie something new. Ultra light could hint at an updated light weight laptop, or light weight powerful computer, or represent minimalism. The 7 can be for OSX7. The background dots for the Macpro, the Font saying New and light weight ie portables and the 7 for OSX.

As for the wave with the X. Some could say sea lion but what about the new wave of technology, the surf for an updated web integration experience.

polarizing is interesting as the dots can also be to do with the 3D technology no? polarizing allows for 3D glasses to work. Could it be that there is some kind of 3D integration? It could be to do with the rumored apple TV?

Probably everything I just said is untrue. And the thin 7... the colour... and the dots just represents a Retena Display Ipad Mini.... yup.. retena ipad mini... which comes in different colours... hmmm

Meh I got my head in the iClouds :D

Umm.. too thin and tiny? that too hard to figure out?

That's not a reading font but great for titles, advertisements (and banners.) Basically anywhere it can be used in large format. No UI designer will make the mistake using it for small reading text...

I had iphone 4 and 5, my bro has the 4s, my mom has the 3gs. So Iphone runs through my fam. So you can't say i'm not a user. I sold my 5 last week and bought a lumia. never going back till apple learns to innovate again. I refuse to be a part of the resurgent sheep herd!

You sold your 5 a week before WWDC? What were you thinking? Also, why did you buy a Chevy Lumina?????

I am surprised that the Apple TV has been left out of the rumor mill entirely. Wouldn't this be a perfect time to announce to developers new opportunities with Apple TV? It does run iOS, doesn't it?

If that was even remotely a worthwhile idea, it would have been done already.

Apple is much better off continuing what they've been doing. Working out limited individual deals with content providers (Hulu a few months back, HBO soon to come) and designing the "apps" themselves.

This keeps the AppleTV UI usable and recognizable.

For Apple to ever move into a 3rd party App situation with an SDK for AppleTV, they would need a completely new way of interacting with it. The remote and Remote App simply don't cut it.

And despite the frenzy that 9to5Mac likes to stir up over Bluetooth keyboards....no one is sitting on their couch with a Bluetooth keyboard for the AppleTV.
