Well I'm not In a position to know the truth. But consider what we would have thought if this was said a month a go. Probably would have not got much thought at all. Statistacly speaking at least some of the iOS changes rumors would be right. It's far more unlikely that a single source and a bunch of hear says on the eve of announcement canceling all previouse rumors is right. It's seems much more likely its hype, or only partially right.

I just hope they don't combine OSX with iOS. It will be a failure just like Windows 8.

Microsoft decided to bring back the Windows Start Button in 8.1 after realizing what a big mistake they did and all the compliant they got.

I uninstalled ALL the metro apps and replaced it with the desktop apps on the start menu, and disabled the stupid lock screen. Now it functions almost like windows 7 but will have to wait for the start button until Windows 8.1.

Metro apps works great on tablets but definitely not on desktops. I prefer good old fashion desktop apps, with small fonts, and small icons, and lots of window space to see all the multi tasking windows. If I do get a surface in the future, i'll do the opposite, uninstall all the desktop apps and install the metro apps.

It was a big mistake trying to combine metro apps with desktop apps. And I just hope apple does not make the same mistake with OSX and iOS. From what I can see so far, they are keeping them separate.

Tim Cook has publicly stated he thinks it's a bad idea to combine a refrigerator and a toaster.

The Google UX team has already been busy giving iOS flatter great apps that better iOS stock apps.

[...]

Google has 2 mobile OS's they are building a great cross platform ecosystem for.
Apple better have more than a 7 and iRadio. Maybe the revisionary Air Drop. All just for iOS.

Thank you! Took the words right of my mouth.

One thing is for sure: Apple is better at covering up their software developments than hardware.

Hmm, which is worse?
Being on an online forum dedicated to rumors and the discussion of their rumors.
Or being on the same forum hating and trolling those who are using its forum to its exact purpose.

I think I know which..

Actually it wasn't meant as trolling, I was just laughing at how many different things people can read into one simple word, that's all. Sorry if you took offence. :) I'm as excited as everyone else - I was a little hypocritical I suppose, sorry.

'Apple announces iOS 6.2 at WWDC'.

jk lol.

Changelog:

- Tweaked the Passbook application to be more intuitive to use than ever.
- Siri now understands Australian and Scottish dialects better.
- Somewhat improved WiFi stability under poor conditions.

Done. Rock on.

Let's predict what will be mentioned at the keynote...

To start, how WWDC sold out in under 2 minutes.

So, does, "leaks" mean, "rumors"? If so, that means the, "rumors" were purposeful, making them, "leaks".

With that said, the, "rumors/leaks" we have heard (and seen) are:

iRadio
Flat/no more textures in iOS 7
Mac Pro
MacBook Pro
MacBook Air
OS X

Either this guy was paid to say the, "leaks" were all wrong, or there will be some very shocking reveals tomorrow.

Was what Tim Cook said, "No new products until the Fall" a "Wrong leak"?
I had many questions with the banner reveals, but now, I have many, many more....BRING ON WWDC!!

If you take it in terms of photography, when you polarise light it removes shine and softens the harsh light. So, if you look at the WWDC App, there is a soft gradient in the icon.
Therefore, the look wont be flat, the shine effect will be 'polarised' and the look will have a subtle, soft gradient look from light to dark of a single colour.

I quite like this idea. It seems similar to the weather forecast changes in iOS 6; crisp, subtle, with just the right amount of nuance and polish.

Late last night I texted a friend who works in Cupertino, not in any iOS or OS X department. I asked if she had any inside info, of course she couldn't say, simply said wait xx hours. I wrote back, "at least give me some comfort iOS won't be dominating OS X 10.9".

Waited
Waited
Waited some more

Finally I wrote back, "that's not comfort." Take that as you will, but I have the sense iOS will be greatly incorporated into OS X, although not unified.

havn't posted here in a while. didn't take the time to read the whole thread. apple's been on the path of making the OS's simpler and the iOS's more full-featured for a while now. My prediction is that they will continue on this path, and the next generation of computers and i-devices will have more in common than ever, at least in look and feel. despite the efficiency of intel's latest CPUs, i still don't think ipads will run the programs we run on computers very well, and simultaneously. it just requires too much heat and energy. eventually the only difference between the two will be that the devices are still stuck doing one thing at a time while the OS will have floating windows. none of this would make me happy, but it would hardly be surprising.

Or it's suggests very little change, which some will love and some will hate.

So Cook said Ive was "really key" to the new version of iOS, and compared the reveal to what it's like for kids on Christmas Eve. If there's very little change, then I wonder what the heck Ive has been "really key" to?

I'm thinking there is a good change that iOS and OSX are going to be unified somehow.

Well that would be polarizing! God i hate buzz words, this one seems absolutely perfect to generate hype. Really has the stench of a marketing firm. Unifying would be a massive task involving all the software groups. I think that would be a difficult one to keep from leaking.

However iOS turns out, you can be sure of these things:

1/ It'll keep the Google UX team busy.

2/ For whatever reason, some Phandroids will *willingly* cause a scene, and tell us how "we had that before you" and then waffle on about removable batteries, non-standard USB cables, screen size, and then another 20 "points" for good measure.

The more Phandroids "hate" it, the more you'll know they LOVE it but are jealous (which is a bit silly, as anyone can buy an iPhone :) )

Exactly ;)

Que up the (paid) Android/Samsung-employee-posing-as-a-normal-MacRumors-poster invasion for tomorrow.

And oh God.....the whole removable battery/memory card thing is so overdone. I have no need to switch out a battery, and no need for a memory card.

DO YOU HEAR US YOU PAID ANDROID SHILLS? WE WILL NOT SWITCH OVER, AND WE HAVE NO INTENTION TO!!!

I would be pretty shocked if it had something not available on Android. It would have to literally be something the world has never seen before ... like, at all. The amount of layouts and visual styles on Android is endless.

Apple is not known for coming up with a new and unseen stuff! It's know for implementing ideas in a lot better way then others (of course with few failures every once in a while)
