Navigation items no longer have context on what they are. You have no way to tell if it is text or a button. Just changing the color of the font isn't an indicator of clickablity.

A lot of websites use color to indicate its a link...another words clickable. Facebook uses this all over the place. I don't see a problem with it

Anyone thinking that iOS 7 sucks obviously doesn't know what they're talking about. I've been using it since beta 1 came out and i gotta say it looks better and better the longer you use it.
Design is not how it looks, it's how it works. (c) Apple
There are many more issues with iOS 7 than just the looks. For example, the confusing lock screen which suggests you to slide up or down instead of left to right. Or the new "Back" button that was really nice design in iOS 6 (the shape of the button conveying notion of going back so that you don't need to put "Back" into button text but instead can use it to indicate what is the actual screen that it leads to) and now it lost most of its function and became just a "Back" word with angled bracket to the left of it.

Of course you can say that it's all tiny issues that don't matter, but all design consists of such little things and it's even more sad when Apple tells in their video that they though through every little detail of it.

One jailbreak tweak I loved is an app called Transparency or such. It allowed you to adjust the camera buttons/sides transparency, allowing for a full view of the image. Wish iOS 7 implemented such a concept. It seems awkward now with the black bars, no gradient and white/yellow text.

The more I use and discuss iOS 7, the more I dislike it. The Keynote was exciting, it seemed a good step in the right direction, but the concept falls apart during everyday use.

Beta2 no longer has the black bars, they're transparent.

However the effects button is missing in BETA2

Worst than beta 1?

It appears to be almost entirely the same. He is talking out his arse however, as mine has been unplugged since 4:00 and it's at 80%, now 5:53 local time (I've been using it the whole time)

The more I use it in my dev, the more it makes me cry. It's down right boring and dull, they ripped the soul out of it. The buttons are just bland and have nothing going on. Seriously, a big round red circle for a button on the camera ?

The feature set of iOS 7 is awesome, but the UI is a train wreak.

Well, if enough people speak up about it Apple SHOULD listen.

Anyways, they rearranged Control Centre slightly.

I really, really, really wish that they turn up the 'white' on these blurred overlays — and make the blurred background less visible.

HTML5 test seems to have improved a little

I hope they do because I very seriously believe if they don't make a radical change soon, iOS 7 will kill the platform.

No. No it wont. Stop being melodramatic.

Please bring a data toggle for the control center. That was the only reason I had to jailbreak my iPhone. I only have 100MB of data every month so I have to toggle data multiple times per day.

I don't need a toggle for wifi, but desperately need one for data!

I have unlimited data so I never thought of this but it seems like a great feature to add to control center for those who need it. Although you might try to just turn off data for those apps that consume the most for the time being.

Why on earth is Apple expending time, money and energy updating the weather app when there are much better ones available online? It's not like developing a kick-ass weather app is going to do anything positive for Apple. Priorities people!

VERY minor details fixed

- The Control Center handle is now fixed. Previously, when the handle was a horizontal bar when you are dragging it, you would still see the corners from when the handle was in an arrow form.

[EDIT: The image below is exaggerated, the corners coming out of the old handles were only a few pixels tall and you couldn't see them unless you looked closely at the screen.]

- Notification Center now behaves like in iOS 6 where the direction of the movement depends on the last direction of your finger drag. In Beta 1, if you drag down NC halfway, but then drag it up, the NC would still fall down. In Beta 2, it will spring back up.

- The icons on the tab menu in the App Store are thicker by default. In Beta 1 the icons would only be the thick version if selected. However, the default loading image of the App Store has not been updated so you can still see the thin icons before the app finishes loading.

- It was probably there before, but in Control Center, I just realized the button on the flashlight icon actually toggles when the flashlight is on.

I would love to meet the person who is actually stumped by the unlock process on the lock screen given the fact that it is exactly the same motion that iOS users have been using since day one. If any of you had trouble figuring this out please let us know (prediction: this didn't actually confuse anyone).
