I now have 5hours of wifi usage on my 4S and 19hours of standby. And only 10% left....

What do you think?
Needless to say, my 4S is two years old, but i think with 6.1.3 my battery was better :/

Really nice battery life on a iPod touch 5G mostly music listening, Facebook, a bit of temple run 2 and some NBA2k13. What do you guys think?

You can't set brightness to 100%, switch between Wifi and 3G, leave apps running in the background and then complain about battery life. As long as battery drain differs from one user to another i think it comes down to user habits not the OS.

This is one of the reason that Apple has resisted even including options that will increase battery drain (like widgets, animated backgrounds and multitasking). People will use these options and then complain about the reduced battery life.

I installed iOS 7 a couple of days ago. My battery life was literally cut in half and wouldn't even last a full day, despite me being too busy at work to play with my phone, so something was wrong. This morning I noticed hundreds of duplicated drafts and quite a few old emails that had become marked unread in my Exchange email account. Looked like almost the same problem caused by iOS 6.1.1 or 2, so I deleted the Exchange account from my phone and battery life is now back to normal for me.

Exchange, icloud, ft and imessage are all known to have caused battery drain problems in the past.

That's somewhat shoddy, IMO. Could definitely be a bit better.

Is an average of 10 hours of use not enough?? It seems fine to me.

Obviously people's experiences are going to differ. I am definitely having "mega drain" on my iPhone 5.

I asked this a while ago, but not many commented. Do you guys think the parallax and dynamic wallpapers have much of an effect on battery? I have tried to test if out, but I haven't really noticed a difference.

how could it be better? standby affects battery life too..

19 hours standby and 5 hour usage with 10% left is GOOD.

people are expecting too much.

beta 5 & 6 were nearly as good as ios 6.1.4, now ios 7gm makes me want to say its even better than 6.1.4 but ill just say its the same as it.

My iPhone 5 is on track for 10 hours of battery life (taking into account the percentage left and usage).

Slightly better than iOS 6 so far.

Mine is about the same as iOS 6 once I deleted one app in particular that was draining the battery. I wonder if some of the iOS 7 app updates we haven't gotten yet will help with unintentional battery drain. I've also noticed that the difference between using it on Wi-Fi versus LTE is a huge difference at least for me. My phone while at work gets about 1/2 the battery that my phone when I'm at home does. I know this was always the case but it seems more pronounced a difference with iOS 7.

My iphone 5 is rocking like the energizer bunny... I've been streaming iTunes Radio (which I love) all day.

While not horribly so, I, too, have noticed the battery draining slightly faster. By the end of the day I usually have about 30-40% left. Now, I'm going down below 20%. Like all initial iOS releases, looks like it's time to go messing about in Settings.

If any of you have issues, just restore as NEW don't use backups, that should solve it.
